Admins of history
 

Like i know i brought up the Graal of Fame which in my mind is still a great idea, but now how about we learn about the Admins that did something great and had to leave or maybe even got fired. Like we'll have Snk,Vman, etc i couldn't name all because i can't really remember the ones from when i was a newb and all
I just think some admins should get some credit for the great things they've done

being staff is their reward.

That is true, but i mean the ones that have done great things man, like i'd even put Monkey up there. Wait was monkey a Gani artist? cause he made the pizzas

we don't need a "hall of admins" in which only certain admins are placed in. all staff do their part, with the exception of a few.

I agree, but only REALLY great things, like Snk for managing the server and so on.

But there's only revolutionary things like that about once a year or something, if you count stuff like the scripting of events, holding long-time positions like Cloyd did, etc. It would make the Hall a bit too small. I think every staff member that has contributed to the game in their unique way should get a spot in it. Such merits would include things, major or minor, like the doll implementation or creating a popular gun (whoever created the M4 / Shipka / BAR / etc.)

consider this;
lets say his idea is added. how are admins put into the hall? era's community votes for them? ok, lets say you're an admin who has been with era for awhile, a developer, idk like Coop. Not a lot of people speak to coop but he does excellent work. lets say he doesn't get nominated, but lets say for example, a PR like ncj (we'll pretend like NCJ doesn't do jack crap for the server), gets nominated because he's well known out there. How is that fair?
besides, why do we need to only acknowledged certain members of the staff team? Having that gold name, is a reward itself.

I'd vote Coop, Thats one of my homies and he has done good work with the server

Oh yea and Vman oh yea he's good, he busted me when i was showing him, well i was telling him i got warned from reno for looking like him but i was really imperninating him i was showing him i could look like him and such. So i was showing him what i did and he gagged me

Not all where fired, but they don't need to know why and most wasn't like they banned everyone on the whole server, btw what would happen if a PR did that?

Do you know how long it would take to ban everyone on the server? Also if some one did try that they would get noticed through rc in about 2 seconds. That would be stupid because even if no one noticed, you'd spend a ton of time doing it and snk could easily fix it in a few seconds.

Ok, how about this, no admin will get nominated. i mean like no admin would have to be voted for, they all will be on their from start to the end, and it would be like this............

example:
Bulldogg Lucero: Bulldogg was a good LAT administrator he Created Capture the flag and Bbz
Bulldogg is currently- Not in staff

Thats just an example of how it should look

Let's not add to the "noobs worship admins" situation already occurring. Their job is to help keep the server running. And if someone isn't nominated, and hard feelings are felt, they might take it out on you and players

i could agree with a Hall of Fame for players but staff are allready praised enough for there work why not make hall of fame for players who have reached milestones and other stuff along that line. example of this is the library in classic.

Things like Employee of the Month(or in this case, Admin of the Month) would be great motivation tools in a game like Graal where everyone is voluntarily helping out.

However, things of that nature never work out because everything in Graal turns into a giant popularity contest. The only logical way to figure out what staff was best in the eyes of the players would be to vote, but then that just opens up a giant effort to rally friends to get masses to vote for them, rather then it being an honest thing.

Oh well.

Maybe make it like a museum... Show their statue and say what they did, giving a timeline of era history...

Is this directed at me? If so, yes, but I don't see how what I posted is irrelevant.

Sort of and i didn't mean it that way. but i said it because i had already said all of staff will be in it and it will say some of the great things they've done and tell if they're staff or not

Well what I was suggesting was less of praising staff and putting them on a pedestal(especially old staff) and more of a motivational tool for current staff. But regardless the rest of what I said applies all around. How would these statues of staff be decided upon who gets one and who doesn't? Only fair way would be a vote and like I said, that's not fair when it turns into a popularity contest.

No, lol all staff will have a statue no matter if they were fired. Well unless they haven't done anything unless others dont agree with what i said (if they haven't done anything they dont get one)
