E-Mail Identification
 

Just got my new iPhone today, and attempted to log into my e-mail identified account. As per usual, the game told me I was sent an e-mail to approve the use of the account from my new device. I checked my e-mails, and did not find any confirmation e-mails - they usually come quickly.

That's stupid. Did you just keep trying to send the activation e-mail over and over, or just wait it out?

I have two emails, a yahoo and a gmail. for some reason identification dosnt work with my gmail the main email that I use :/ so I tried to send a identification to my yahoo and I got it instantly.

Yeah, but as far as I'm concerned I cannot transfer the e-mail of an account I have access to.

A lot of people have been having trouble with the email verification thing lately.
I don't really know exactly what's going on with it, but it could be from the DDoS attack on Graal. However, I don't really think it would be that because it appears the person has stopped.

Mind if you could explain what this DDoS thing is o.o?

Highly doubt it would be the result of a DDoS attack, seeing as how the login server/authentication wasn't targeted in the attack - I believe he only attacked servers. Correct me if I'm wrong. Also, this has happened a couple other times on iClassic as well. I think it's a faulty login server to blame.

DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service - it's a form of hacker attack in which a hacker or hackers uses a server to send out many authentication or external communication requests to a target server, overflowing the server with more data than it was made to handle, which crashes the server and renders it unusable or "down".

tl;dr
A hacker overflows a server to take it off the intertubes.

EDIT: Actually, this might just be the cause of the DDoS attacks. If I'm not wrong, the attacks were directed at the Graal servers and subsequently the login servers, which I believe iEra uses for account login (seeing as you're directed to graalonline.com after verifying an account). I'll just ride the storm out and wait a couple more days if need be, and contact a staff member if still necessary.

Jea it might be because of the DDoS thingy. But retrying it immediately won't work because as far as I recall there is a limit per hour or something like that (something to pretend others spamming your email with that)

Hm. I'll take a stab at this.. a bash terminal via Ubuntu (useless Linux distribution) and a precompiled haxor program come to mind. Totally devoid of creativity and purpose to life. DDoS in a nutshell, nuff said.

Bumping - I tried to create a new account to manually transfer the old account to the new e-mail identified accounts, and this time around I did receive an e-mail to authenticate my device on this new e-mail address. I tried again to log into my old account and send the verification e-mail, and still no dice.

Although, when I clicked the e-mail I received to create my new account, the server request timed out as the servers are still down. I think I might have to have a manual account transfer from the old one to the new one, whenever I can create the new account.

Problem has been resolved along with the Graal login servers. Thanks for the help (I guess) everyone.

so what happened, did you finally get the email? how long did it take?
