I personally like the search feature for guilds. The block list is also very helpful. The guild pictures being visible in the list however is causing the list to take an extremely long time to load, I'd like that to be removed or given the option to be removed.

I don't see how the guild pictures extend the loading time; the list loads first, then the pictures. Even though I extremely terrible internet I have had no issues on my iPod or PC either.

Instant for me laggy noobs

I tap on the "View Joined Guilds" button, and it takes a good 30 seconds longer than usual to do anything whatsoever, and I have a friend who can't open it whatsoever.

it isn't happening to me. You and your friend should re-download Graal

Viewing joined guilds didn't take longer for me. It slowly loaded the pictures which is expected since it's probably caching them.

Disabled it for older devices: iPhone1, iPhone 3G, iPod Touch 1G, iPod Touch 2G.

I think iPads can handle it

Can you record what happens by any chance?

My iPad 2 runs Graal smoother than the FB app.

My friend who couldn't open it at all was on 2G and it works now, thanks fp4.

Third gen iPod. Tap character > edit > guilds, all okay. Tap "View Joined Guilds", 10 seconds frozen on the same screen before it hard cuts to the guild list. When the list finally opens, all the pictures have already loaded. I guess that kinda goes against what Rufus and Rexx said, they said they had the list load before the pictures.

When I go into a guild then hit back to go back to the list, it also freezes up.

Your ping to the server is like 1500ms right now, no wonder it's slow. Considering you're in Australia you should be in the 250ms range, but you're well above that right now which is making the list a while to load.

Open a command prompt on your computer and run this command:

ping 74.86.179.137 -t

that is your ping to the server.

When I ping your client it doesn't even respond, so there's probably packet loss as well.

It's sitting on 250ms for me on both Graal and through the command prompt, which is pretty normal.

Server ping logs (ran command 10 times, 20% loss):

This is what the server is telling me, there's something wrong with your connection. Restart your router and modem.

Disabling the guild logos isn't going to fix your problem.

I think its all nice except the guild picture display, the images are shrunk too much and look pretty ugly usually.

Restarted, graal and command prompt still giving me the same readings of 250ms. I've always had a highish ping but I've never had the app consistently freeze on me until this update.

We do have 1700 people online right now though, so it could also be related to that as well. Your pings are still showing up high for me.

They're very useful updates. Except when I press "View Joined Guilds" it freezes and lags for a few seconds because of all the pictures it has to load. I'm in too many guilds which is probably why that happened.

We ended up disabling the logos since most didn't look all that great in the end.

No more freezing either, cheers.

-guild search: ive wanted this for a longgggg time! yay :^D
-block player button: useless... seriously it was ok where it was.
-blocked players list: useless. i dont see the point. and it takes forever to load when you have 24pages... wow thats 12x larger than my friends list...
-guild pic on guilds list: NONONO! this wasnt close to necessary. the pic is reduced so small its not worth putting there. its just more graphics to load. and they reallllllly dont look good on top of graals interface.

but really I REALLY HATE IT WHEN THE INTERFACE IS CHANGED GRRR! WHY DO ALL THE NEW BUTTONS HAVE TO BE ON THE TOP? i still sometimes hit "identify/vip" when i want to go to news. identify button shouldve been placed where old vip was... i hit "search guilds" or whatever the new button is instead of "manage guild" and i hit "manage guild instead of view guild". the new guild search button needs to be 2nd to last right above "scores". and the "more options" menu on player profiles? why did EVERYTHING need to be rearranged? i almost blocked someone trying to enter his guild house. RAGEEEE

ps. the "server optimizantion" last week? LOL it only made everything more laggy not less.

It's when you didn't see the picture yet probably. So it's downloading all the images at once which could cause some lag, especially on the FB client

EDIT: Where are the images supposed to load? They didn't load anywhere... just like it was before

I think this update is pretty cool, however I would like to see a button that shows you a log of what admins broadcast. This could be placed in friends --> more actions; bellow "Message History" titled "Broadcast History", or they could be placed in the Message History button with a differentiating colour. I say this because lots of times I accidentally skip broadcasts when I am cycling through spam and miss out on events.

We should probably add a third PM button when staff messages are made. I can imagine this happens a lot, especially within large and active guilds.

How about you separate guilds messages and pm's? I could care less about broadcasts.

still waiting for the option to move the guilds you are in around.

or at least make it prioritize pms over guild messages.

Lmao, its not like i'm asking for a lot, I could understand a sarcastic remark if I were asking for a whole new addition to graal or something, but this... XD. I know there is a special broadcast pm however it can somtimes be overlooked, as I said, when you cycle through spam.

Oh, sorry then it sounded sarcastic, especially when I remembered that when players receive broadcasts a special pm pops out. Needless to say I feel stupid XD.

Not sure if it's just me or not, but I remember when I could see broadcast messages in Message History. I can't see them anymore. It was extremely helpful when I could, because i could just check Message History instead of trying to cut through 20 guild messages and then accidentally passing the broadcast message up.

Yeah I can't see them either and I agree that this should be fixed.

Broadcast messages couldn't be seen for awhile now. It would be nice if they made them be able to be seen in history. I think they just don't want people to go back in their history and spam the staff.

Event Broadcast used to be able to be viewed in it.
Not anymore...

They need to make message history longer
