Azrael and I were thinking of hosting a radio station or talk show about Graal. We would play music and talk about stuff.

Do any of you guys know the best way we can make the possible so that we can broadcast live instead of podcasting?

Maybe over a livestream?

Not gonna be a troll or some kind of meanie but what is there to talk about on Graal? We already know 90% of everything iClassic has been planning (Including Punk gave us some of the details, which BTW, has been banned by an admin for one year because he wanted to pay back for the gralats he stole by accident... And he apologized to you dudes).

I don't think a Radio show is needed for Graal Classic... If it were for overall Graal, that would just help by just a drop

You guys should brodcast through the radio in graal. So that way graalians have something to listen to while farming :)

I could just imagine it now... or not.

Podcast or make a radio furnature item. (cheap, possibly 200g) and we can turn on and off the radio and listen to it in our houses and guild houses.

it would be awesome if like you buy a radio and azreal and NYN are putting on music and talking (words not sounds) or you buy a tv and azreal and NYN do news like on t.v. you buy called radio t.v. and people can send request to the news it would be epic...

what's wrong with podcasting or just a youtube video with a static image?

if it's live then a lot of people will miss it..

Twitch Tv allows you to record the livestream. You miss it live, you can watch the recording.

p2p hosting could make it possible on the actual server/game, but if you do please make it optional. otherwise you can use some hosting website like own3d.tv or something. See LoL streams on it all the time.

It's just for fun. And we probably won't even talk about Graal as much as anyone would think. Twitch TV shoulds cool. Thanks for the suggestions, any more would be appreciated.

yup overall i think the idea is great so NYN get Azreal to do it you two are one of my favorite admins, it would be an honor for u to do it

When Unholy Radio on UN used to be active they hosted it on a free site, but i forget the name sorry. Maybe if you asked someone there they could help you. It was very buggy though.

It would be better when you guys would have a server
to stream the music, like web radio

Legal Issues:

• If you plan on showing ads, you will have to pay royalties to the artists of the songs you play. Without paying royalties, this is pirate radio and illegal.
• If you don't want to show ads, you can avoid a lawsuit by operating under the creative commons license. You will need to display the creative commons symbol on your website to let people know you're legal. creative commons allows you to play any song you want, even downloaded music, for "fair use, criticism, non-commercial, non-profit use.


Methods:

- Video: Check out a video blog with streaming video that allows for audio and visual input. Like a guy above me said, they can also view the recorded content if they missed the live content. Use "Prillio.com", I heard it was good for visual broadcasts.
- Audio: I've tried this before, but to no prevail. I'm guessing if you check out "radio" in the iTunes sidebar on a PC/Mac, you may find a link to create your own station.
- RSS: This is one of my favourite ways of doing things. For lazy people, too. Basically, an RSS is a live feed that can be updated anytime, anywhere. It wouldn't be "live", but it would be "semi-live". Basically, you provide an RSS connection that displays a live feed of audio files from a playlist. Simply pre-record what you want to say before the song has ended, add the file to the playlist and it will be automatically updated to the RSS feeds as if it were live. It also gives you the time to add sound effects, etc. But you have to be willing to record and upload th audio files one after the other, constantly.

What I've Done:

In the past I've tried making a radio station. It was amateur, to say the least. It was actually a video feed on a website, but I had the video blackened with SmartCam and displayed an image. The blackened cam blendd in with the background of the website, so no one knew there was actually a video feed on the website. They just saw the radio logo I had up.

Whenever I switched to music, I quickly unplugged The mic and connected the speakers to the audio input so it would be clear and no one would hear me talking during play. I guess if you're good with Flash and HTML5, there are some scripts to pull an audio feed straight from your computer as you record it.

It was never free, at least for the first few years 2008-onwards. UDI always paid to keep the radio when I was a common player.


Also, it would be cool if you could have actual players come on the show as well and things like that.

Yeah, I think it'd be really awesome if you guys did that. You guys don't get enough credit for the things you do (in my opinion) and a raidio show would be awesome. Hope you can figure it out somehow!

You can have quests skype you :) That would be pretty cool. In this way, you could also commentate GST.

SHOUTcast with Winamp. I ran a small online radio show with my buddy when we were in middle school. I'm not sure if the technology is outdated. Look it up if you're interested. Let me know if you have questions.

WTF NICK Tonksy and I came up with this idea ages ago but it "couldn't be done" why steal it?

NYN/Azrael just use xsplit and own3d.tv, they're both free, very efficient, and easy to use. Just register your account log into it on xsplit turn it on and you're streaming.

Like Farmville/Zynga, make a podcast via youtube with a graal character and the Graalonline Classic theme song dimly fades in and out in the beginning and stays at a low volume the entire show until your done then it goes back to regular volume.
