Era isn't a melee server. Stop making it one.
 

Why the hell does Era keep releasing damn melee weapons? it's a f*****g gun server for God's sake! and for the record, Era only is SUPPOSED to have 5 melee weapons; Hunter Knife, Scythe, Katana, Bamboo Rod, and Lightsaber. STOP RELEASING MELEE WEAPONS AND START RELEASING GUNS! and to all the noobs that keep pming me asking me "wher u ben darkight?" the answer is not on era anymore, due to the craptacular amount of melee weapons.

FUN FACT: There are more melee weapons than Guns on iEra!

You get more melees on iEra than classic. The only reason I play iEra is for the melees.

I don't know about you guys but i got Era on my iPod to shoot people, not walk around, shooting people, and then get noobed by a puny little clover leaf out of nowhere.

I agree 100% ... Most of them are the same with different skins. There's way too many melees. I used to want hunter really bad but I've had about all the daggers so now I'm not really stoked about getting it... This is a gun server. They say the want to release guns slowly,nowadays if I see people swinging a sword at me while im gunning,I automatically assume they're a noob.So If you're going to release a ton of melees,please release guns. For gods sake I thought they had 100 guns already made..Release them already,I'm getting bored.

Personally EC melees aren't so great,it's just one damage higher than the melees we get for free/shops/ect..

80% of the melees have the same stats but different looks, and I think everyone but you thinks variation is a bad thing. And guns always will be better than melees in combat, that's why it's a gun server. Because there are, unlike classic alot of guns.

Well at least they should make the same with guns; release guns with same stats but different skins and ganis :D

This is why I play Era PC. The fighting system is way better imo.

I personally hate the number of melee weapons and how unbalanced they are compared to EC melee items. Also there droppability and high prices.

Yeah I have to agree, the number of daggers and what not are getting a bit too high. Personally I'd like to see some more unique weapons like the gas launcher.

We're getting too many unique weapons. From holidays/deals and what not. I'd like to see new assault rifles like Scar,FAL,ACR..

I wouldn't necessarily say the holiday weapons are "unique" Theyre all pretty much the same generic dagger and/or they all have similar stats and ganis.

If I wanted a melee server why would I play classic, it has one melee, while era has a lot.

They just look pretty.

I really do think that Era SHOULD have a decent amount of melees but all these melees come up with similar stats, the same ganis(An Olympic SPEAR being used as a sword, C'mon), and it screws melee auction winners over eventually. Remember how rare the hammer was? The next few updates featured wildly available melees that were weaker in attack but had the same knockback property as the hammer.

era staff cant make guns, too hard sryz. and im positive that next time we do work and make a gun, we'll auction it so all the gralat pack glitching fuds will be the only ones that get it! so save up 90k and you might have a shot but unfortunately youll need to stay up to 4 am because most of us are french and dutch twats that only like doing auctions when there is 400 people online

Melees are more of a cosmetic item now, You cant exactly kill a PKer easily with a melee as the guns do the same/greater damage and have range. Plus, the graphics team enjoy making melees and they're good to gani so I don't see the problem. Also, most players enjoy the new melees, it's just those same old people that whine and complain about every release we do.

You guys need a gani artist and a guns admin, because no matter how much you all enjoy making melees we are getting sick of them.. Hats and melees, we're turning into classic

Classic is very different because you cant hold the sword like in iEra.

Cosmetic or not, as others have said, our melee weapons are classic's hats. They are becoming ridiculious. The GFX team may enjoy making them, but doesn't mean they should ALL be added.
If you think it's just the same old people whining, why are several staff agreeing?

I agree; however it needs to be done right, not on a whim as it usually is.
Current weapons need to be majorly considered when adding new ones.
I also think we should have 3 different types of guns as such..

• Cheap
• Bridge
• More Expensive

Should always be distinct catergories of guns, the cheaper having the majority of the base stats, the bridge gun should be a balance between the more expensive and cheaper gun, looking at a medium price range.
The more expensive gun should be looking at marginal upgrades for a higher price.

So because gfx admins are too lazy to make some guns and make swords (which is easier) that's all that we get? I thought staff were to take into consideration what players want, not do what they like to do. Being staff isnt a luxury, its a job. And I complain only when complaining is needed. I don't know; global admins are generally quite a closed group.. it's pretty near impossible to get to that point o.o;; in which case you'd no longer be working for Iphone.
