Graaloween 2012
 

Alright guys, with Halloween drawing closer, (About 2 months away) strange things have been happening in Deadwood.

To catch some of you back onto pace, Club Crypt was open a few days ago without any news update. The same hats were for on stock, however there was a mysterious room on the left, that had dialogue I couldn't remember.
Also, as Rufus said; After Club Crypt's sudden undefined closure, Higbey the Demon made its appearance into the masses of the crowds. No joke, if some of you were there you probably saw him too.

I couldn't recall everything Higbey said, but I do remember it saying 'We have to fight the evil or Club Crypt will burn to the ground', possibly regarding an event for this year's Halloween.

After this, the Skeleton Quest area was closed down. This could possibly mean that it's under construction for future content.

tl;dr

I haven't participated in Graaloween in the previous years, so this will be my first.

I'm a bit excited, so what are your interpretations of this year's Graaloween?

halloween is the only time in graal that the updates are actually cool

I was investigating the area,
And yes, I had a magnificent rally and speech, half of it was real from the text given by the npc and the door, a quarter of it was from my own suggestions and assumptions of a way to connect some things that one day may happen (hopefully), and a quarter of it was me trying to stop a bunch of hat grubbing Neanderthals from complaining that they closed club crypt.

I had people saying they never read the messages from the npcs, or the other door, because most of them rushed for the hats or didn't investigate the area, or didn't remember it,

Due to the fact iPods won't let you screenshot in rapid succession I didn't get the full texts.

Basically, I did a more memorable and better job at setting up the storyline and quest line than a npc, but upon further research I found noone knew what this was about, and a wild blue striped canary whistled a song about the halloween events not taking place in deadwood

I'd give you the full passage, but it's really a interactive thing, you had to be there, it's a incentive for exploring and listening....

Let's just leave it as this riddle, dead wood burns easily, but still won't start when someone won't let you light It.

@Higbey. When you said that, I imagined Azreal exploding Deadwood on Halloween

Azrael wouldn't do that. He loves that cliche halloween town too much to go allong with my story, although I know others would love it to end the way I want it to end... But it's not a priority... Maybe next years halloween.... Though I wish early...

Well, looks like it is time for me to go a questing on another laggy trip

I hint. I do not leak, I give clues and riddles and make it do anyone with Basic connection and problem solving can figure out vaguely what's going to happen or what I am talking about, I do not promise anything, I do not say when, I do not leak.

I try to make people, like 2D here, get into the action, get excited, and give them a taste of the future and storyline and encourage exploring and listening.

Shame there's people like you that bring "being a staff" into it and make me have to explain it all out of character.

From what I gather, there will be awesomeness and fire. Lots of fire. I look forward to awesomeness and fire.

Well, Graal Classic has been very dull as of late. Sadly, there have been no decent updates after MoD Town's release.

It's been two weeks LMFAO.

The next new thing in deadwood probably has something to do with the cave under the guild fort, next to the pumpkin patch.

I want someone to do a BEN parody with Tailor Richaard's as the Happy Mask Salesman displaying dead players on his clothing racks to eyeless noob children. Now THAT would make a creepy Graaloween picture.

I won't be around so I don't see how that is possible :)

I do hope someone busts out the ghosts in crypt though. I did like that club...

Idk, whoever removed the deadwood garden area, the upper part of pet semetary/forest entrance, and the fence stopping players from going to those three npcs like the guy with a spider hat,

Someone added that npc talking about the evil and changed that door in your crypt, the ghosts no longer say anything, and the ghost modes are unobtainable.

Why don't we just have one massive quest where Higbey devours the server and all the hats with it so we have to slay him to get back all of our hat products.

Lame.

The ghost modes were always fun. If I was still around, it's likely I would have introduced more fun modes (did anyone seen smoking / outline / black / demon ghost last year? :)) It's all about the party.

Rufus. There's a statue of Rufus in MoD town, he taking over the game, if you ask me i don't mind him taking over the game

Halloween on Graal is a bigger deal than irl lmao. Its nice though

I'd have to disagree with you on that one Jester. It varies, I suppose. Getting bags of free candy, and trick or treating in general is a big deal too.

Unfortunately, I can't celebrate Halloween this year where I'm living, so Graal's Halloween will have to be a substitute.

I'm 18, so if I go trick or treating people look at me funny :( lmao
