I just realised how long I've played this game. Almost two years now, for some it seems ages, for others, not long at all. I started a few months before the custom head/shield/body system came out. I remember I was in eP then. Their noob-iest member, haha.

Anyway, what was iEra like when it first came out? I remember having a conversation with NCJohn about this, but I quickly forgot what he said.

It used to be a game.

It used to be under 1000 players on average. Wow, Era got famous.

When it first came out, the cops had gold names, so everyone was running around wondering why there were so many "admins" and it was a crazy, wonderful mess.

Back when pistols were fun to use.

The best gun was an AK47 the best melee was a monkey wrench and machete. It was an actual modem server. There were only 5 bases. I lead top gang. Then payback/ice shadows rivalry. The staff didn't get fired every other day. Era didn't rely on events to stay afloat. Safe zones were minimal.

I remember neo came out on my birthday and i was on for the first day of hide and seeks for hunters and kiwis. And back when you did 1 event to get a rare and then you can say to give it to your friend.

PKing was my main priority back then.

How this server became so different?

when they started adding updates for toddlers and stopped adding content that portrayed to the theme of the server, ex:candy land

Confession: The Quest itself was fun,but the shop isn't quite my taste.

Digging was fun when you could just endlessly stay in one tile and dig all around you without being forced to move around.

Digging was 10x faster and everything was cheap.

Then it got released for a whole 6.5k and I got mad.

I remember on the first day they forgot to restrict warping to staff only, and I was warping around to friends and taking bases easily, I got 1000 kills by the second day and havent really killed since

Lol same, I got 8k kills in the first 3 days the server was out when you could kill in front of hospitals and I haven't really pked since. I remember Layerd and I were the #4 and #5 Pkers on iEra at the time xD

So some people wonder when guns started getting unbalanced? 2 new hidden weapons the Ap7 and Taurus were introduced. Taurus represented an ineffective gun due to extremely long freeze rate. It was however the first gun to introduce the 5 shot kill. Ap7 was your spammy gun. When Ebiziou came to era, Ap7 was their favourite weapon during the earlier times. Later on, Neo Rifle came. This was another hidden weapon. It gained lots of attention due it being "nearly a sniper rifle". It had a 1 clip. But had 8 damage. It was proven to be very underpowered gun. Admins then buffed it, giving it 2 clip and 9 damage. But the problem was gun upgrade was introduced sometime before or after the neo rifle release. Neo rifle can be upgraded to 10 damage which destroys Taurus' uniqueness of 5 shot kill.

The balancing wasn't super broken. But this was the slow start to guns becoming more unbalanced.

I came back to era sometime after m16 got nerfed after it's release day. So I don't know what happened when cloyd became guns admin. What I do know was that m16 used to be very overpowered.

When double uzi was considered unfair in spar. We've come a long way since then. Also, what was your name in eP? I don't remember you.

Back than era started to milk credit cards. I remember pissing myself for the p90. MAN WAS IT OVERPOWERED<3 i loved it 100% they ruined it.

Yeah. He will always be the best,anytime you asked him to host he loved to. He had a limit as well but it was only 5 people there for the hunter.Staff nowadays bitch at you or ignore you. They all have the same status. (Don't ask for events or auctions and don't pm me my name I already know it,ask the question. Don't ask for dolls or statues) Im like b*tch I don't want a damn doll who cares about dolls,you aren't special. xD

I bought iEra+ (since that was the first one out) about 5 minutes after it was released, and yes as cat said everyone were adiams. Mr.Cassini and Snk were having a ton of fun in start and hospitals were pk arenas, you received a hat and was like "ZOMG IM SPECIAL!!!1!" for being one of the first 1000 to join, I won the first unnoficil trivia snk and WDM hosted the day after it came out and made a gang as soon as you could buy gralat packs to take over SNK's gang bases "Blazian Bandits". Dood I could go on forever.

I remember when ozzy and I were noobs, man I could embarrass him like a mom showing your gf your baby pictures. We both had fairly good gangs in the top 15 and he got psyched when the gang he owned (Something like graal gangsters or whatever) passed my gang iChaos. It was so funny with gang rivalries, every noob thought they were pro (I still see no difference) then you look at their classic profiles which have like 2 hours and a status saying "I am a legend on iEra" *cough* njc and ken *cough*

I can't remember, I wore the spikey blue haired noob head, and carried noob shotguns. I was also really friendly with iSmilez. I loved that guy.

back in the days where it still had some value of exploration and fun, like, i didnt know the map-- so if i got bored i'd go explore more. And now I memorize it by heart, and working on the classic map.

I honestly can't remember, it might have been my real name, Josh. But it was over a year ago now. I might try to contact him.

Personally I attribute the decline of Era to the Classic crash of Christmas 2011. That's when all the trade/scam bs started, when all the children showed up :/

But i remember when i first started it was a little after the game came out, like january or febuary (dont care if i spelled wrong i'm tired) but my cousin Swagg kept begging me to play lol and then i played and my name was "Nahijillion" then i join True Street Kingz and we has a ball. Me, Scarface, Night Wolf, Blaze, Anny, Leo, Swagg, Tweety, Reckless, Jerry, Malone, and Others. We had a good time then we split up and everyone started to quit :(
