Extreme Deep Field (Hubble telescope)
I thought I should share this because its amazing. This is the deepest view of the universe to date, courtesy of the hubble telescope. The eXtreme Deep Field, or XDF, as the photo's called, shows about 5,500 galaxies that are considered the oldest known to humanity. Check it out!

EDIT: Just ran some calculations to figure out how far these galaxies are from us. http://i.imgur.com/AZzSy.png Approximately 1,248,789,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 meters away. Crazy, eh? |
