Graal classic stories

Topic says it all.

When the honor point system still existed, I used to create newbie accounts using UDIDfaker.
Right at the starting island, there were dozens of stupid, thirsty honor point wh0res.
I let them guide me through the starting island while I took my time and tried to progress as slowly as possible and pretend that I can't speak english very well. I gave them a hard time for sure.
After I had arrived at ship and people would have started to ask me for honor points, I switch back to my main account with 1k+ hours and 40k kills (which was alot at the time) and troll the **** out of them.
I kinda felt like chris hansen from dateline nbc ''to catch a predator''.

Oh god, that was the most fun I've ever had on graal.

When I was a true noob I would go to the zone and bait people into attacking me so I could have an excuse to stalk pk them. I would just start farming (before staff messed it up) and wait for the 500hr noobs to come kill me and try to take my place. I used to kill them nonstop until I made them rage quit. After like 2 weeks everybody that came to the zone just left me alone. I remember I used to be the only one farming on the left side and the right side would have like 5 people fighting for that spot. For some reason players back then thought they could just do what they wanted to a newer player.

*elderly voice* You damn kids have it so easy nowadays! Back in my day, we had none of them fancy schmancy railroads or horses. We had to walk everywhere we went!

*Strokes own beard* Back in our days, people were still nice and all you could buy from shops were bombs and arrows. We refer to these days as the 'golden age'.
I still remember how 10k+ kills used to be a huge amount in other peoples eyes, I miss it how I got looked up to.
Now it's all gone. All that is left from those days is diarrhea. Wet, smelly diarrhea.

*Rocks in chair* Back then, there were none of these virtual daters or babies. Nope, everyone was adequately smart and everyone got along. Now, all of these "single" whippersnappers are clogging up Graal City and lazy people beg for others to farm for them!

I liked the old days. They were pretty fun.

Snimppa 09-30-2012 08:02 PM

Now let's all smoke our big fat smoking pipes in a moment of silence and think about the good ol' days.

I hate when people call around 100 or so hours noobs and say people with about 300-500 hours are just now getting used to things. On iEra I only got about 300 hours and I know it like the back of my hand. Same thing goes to classic, but of course I had to be an complete idiot and let a guy scam my stats via VIP merging.... I had more than a hundred hours, and now I have half that...

Point is, 100 hours is NOT still the "noob" phase!

I'd say the noob phase ends at around 30-50 hours, depending on the person. Some jut choose to continue being idiots.

I was out of the noob phrase at 10 hours lol... But when I was in the noob phrase I was in the noob phrase. I was scared to go in grass because I thought pokemon would jump me and if I had a lower amount of bombs or arrows it meant you were a noob. Also we used to call people in bush forms "cabbages" back then lol. It was weird.

This is what we call the stone age. The golden age was from feb 2010 to dec 2010. But if you miss those days just go to pc classic dude its exactly what you just described.

fixed. but dont worry i had to teach goten the difference between "than" and "then".

anyway. I remember back when farming was decent and people would actually hang out at grotto. once i made 15k in 3-4hrs. ya gotta fight for your spot and ya gotta fight to keep it. and also deal with thiefs. same people there day in day out.

and now all the ___ hour places are trash

o and imo, theres 2 types of noob stages
-what the rest of you are calling "noob" as in you dont know what youre doing etc. ya you come out of that phase quick enough.
-people who... have a "low skill level" (is that appropriate enough?) who cant defend themselves whatsoever because they have little sword experience because they spend most of the time in graal city.

am i saying im "good"? no, i suck at 1v1 vs some people.
just clarifying because theres really no such thing as "pro" either because everyones gotta lose sometime

Did I..... Just... Really? .-. Me, the guy who's friends rage while texting because he corrects every little mistake, and I just mixed up "there" and "their"....

I used to pk advent just to annoy them. Most of the time they would be at dw tower and that was the easiest tower to pk. This was before they messed up the bombs. Like most guilds at dw they would put people in both stairways so all I did was push them back with bombs and arrow spam them. Then I would run towards the flag room and make my way to the other stairs to shoot arrows from the back. Since most of them were usually reading the spam I had time to kill most of them before they realized they were being attacked. I would just continue to pk until they got me to .5 and then I would escape to heal. Then I would send them the good old haha pm.
