Gfx help

Hey guys!

I JUST got gimp! I'm a little confused how you use it.. I wanna make levels, heads, and shields.. Any tips, tricks or masters out there? Thanks!:D

What is some good ways to create worlds? And like can it allow me to work with grad ice admin?
