Gang Recruitment Center
 

I've posted about this before. Since alot of time has passed and something similar has been suggested for classic, I thought I'd bring it up again.

There should be a building in whatever form and function. It's purpose: gang recruiting. There are those gangs who are often low on members, need to build their group up or want to join a gang.

Sure, it could be a big room where people spam, or there could be a menu displaying a listing of current gangs looking for members. I was thinking that the listing could have the gang pic, name and if you click on it you open their gang page.

How this would work is that there would be 2 hours between posting the advertisement and the advertisement being removed automatically. This way, the listing won't be overloaded with spam gangs. In addition, the price for advertisements should be 50g.

Another thing to consider would be gang purpose tabs/tables. Here you can separate the advertisements into 1.) Basing, 2.) Spar, and 3.) PK/Other.

I like this idea. Only thing I say is that the price should probably be raised to something like 300g-800g because I feel that at 50g there will still be spam.

This is a good idea. I had one similar but I couldn't figure out how people would sign up. You solved that problem. Well done!

Would the people then just message the leader of the gang or would there be another system?

I don't see why the regular pm system wouldn't be fine. However, if that doesn't work you can have a separate spot next to the pm icon/chat bubble that is a different color and represents "advertisement replies."

That may be a problem with inactive leaders but there could be a way for leader to delegate who can see them. Maybe those in the gang with recruit power?

I had hopes of World Chat being used for this. That, in my mind, was what it was made for. Now it is just a dead feature *plays sad melody*

This Gang Recruitment Center sounds like a nice, organized way to cut the clutter of spamming caps-lock "ads" in Start. Not a bad idea.

I think the leader should be able to have a few members who can recruit from there and have their names linked so people don't need to keep looking. That then gets rid of members being spammed to recruit them even if they haven't got the power.

A centralized building for congregation and information everything gang related?
I like it.

And we could add a gang shop here; if we ever decide to give our gang system some stimulation and implement a goal greater than "capture the chest".
