Make outside MoD nonpk! (and a ton of randomness)
 
Future Improvements is my favorite subforum. But sadly lately it hasnt been as active as it once was:(

So heres a few random things!

-Make the area outside MoD Fort non-pk. Ive mentioned this several times in past threads but now i cant stress it more. here we go...

Recently, every weekend there have been at least a dozen players getting 1000+ kills per day. In fact, a few people are even getting 3-6 thousand kills in one day. On a normal day months ago, getting 1000 kills in a day was rare.

This only happens because of the large crowd in front of the MoD Fort sword spamming (the have also been past, and reoccuring, problems with arrow spammers too). All they do is stand in one spot hitting the sword button repeatedly, which takes no skill whatsoever. This takes the same effort as respawn boosting. Not to mention respawn boosting is also at large problem outside MoD. I hate watching these people boost to get kills easily outside, while I make all of my kills inside MoD fairly.

Also, a common hobby for the boosters outside is to block the entrance to MoD, which is really annoying for the people who are trying to get inside to do their killing or, God forbid, take the flag. Sometimes the flag will be at 20/250 and I die outside four times before pushing my way inside with .5hp, and by that time the flag is aleady back at full 250/250.

So my solution is to make the area outside MoD a non-pk zone. This will stop people from getting easy kills, stop illegal respawn boosters, and make it easier to get inside. Hopefully it's not a problem to create a non-pk zone around MoD without making the actual MoD flag room non-pk.


-House/GH levels grid:

ok so some furniture pieces arent a whole number of tiles wide/tall (for example something could be 2.5 tiles wide). when you lay the furniture piece its in one spot, but when you reenter house it will have shifted diagonally a half tile... not a big deal really.. the problem is this same glitch makes it impossible to use horizontal railroad...


-Statues furniture: the grab statue in red barn. Dont you hate it when you accidently grab and ruin a statue? Theres an option where visitors arent allowed to use it. But there really needs to be an option to lock statues from yourself too lol.

-A few random other ideas: If I were any crueler of a Graalian, I would definately bump each of these threads. (all cool ideas but will never happen)

I haven't looked at the links, but I agree about MoD. And the other one should probably just go in the bug reporting thing.

It's not active because most iclassic staff don't do what they should and visit it.

For Galen's sake, we have been trying to get the onnet town stairs moved back to where they should be and not even that is listened to!

I honestly can't see why anyone would complain about the stairs being moved. Keep whining about pointless things and when you bring up a serious matter everybody will ignore you.

People complain because it takes about two seconds more time to get to the stairs, and it's quite a thin area.

I love this idea and the ideas that were linked as well. It would finally make MoD Tower an actual tower to organize a raid than just pking a battlefield outside.

and-^ youre probably only saying "no" because youre one of those people who do this and think prosthetic stats are k00l.

All stats are meaningless fake stats. Pking ruined by boosting. Bk's can be easily boosted by waiting in water. Hours you can just afk. Spar same problem with boosting. I honestly don't see why we hold on to these stats like they're sacred.

Df twilit. Now you don't want us players to get 100k pks+ like you? Lets just carry on, and enjoy Graal. MoD is less crowded than before it was when it was placed at the center of Graal.

I think the new stairs are temporary so the LAT can see what they are dealing with on the overworld. Maybe something new is opening there pretty soon? A better approach on the ever-so-popular stairs??

I don't think the area really needs to disable PK. No other tower does that, people just flock around the entrance because it is a short, relatively easy tower to take. More people brings.. More people! I think it really just sets the MoD tower apart from the others as the most chaotic of the forts. I guess it really wouldn't hurt, but I'm not the one who uses that area enough to offer adequate input! o.O

MoD USED to be the easiest fort to take. Now snow and york have 50hp... but thats besides the point.

Just because MoD is the most popular fort for PKing does not justify getting kills in the easiest way in shortest amount of time possible. Seriously, 6,000 kills in a day just by lazily sword spamming in one spot? Ive even seen people who are supossed to be defending MoD run outside for kills. Also some guy today pmed me saying he started a noob account wanting to get 100k in less than 400hours... I spent 9months to get 100k and was 30th. Now, only one year later, there are 80-ish people with 100k kills? Seriously ever since the scoreboards were expanded to top100, i have no clue who half these kids are.

blablablah. anyway, make outside MoD nonpk please. It wont fix everything, but it is elimnating the most popular boosting spot.

PKing should be no different from nonstop guild spar, except there are multiple guilds, and youre all alone. If you put no skill or effort into your kills, then whats the point lol?

Honestly, the best PK'ers don't always have to have really high numbers on their profiles. The numbers shouldn't really be all that annoying in my opinion. They don't prove anything other than how much time that person spent doing the same thing over and over. Sure they prove experience in the action, but it doesn't really prove too much else.

Whether or not MoD disables PK outside the tower should be irrelevant, but it is nobody's fault that people decided to jump into action before even getting into the fort. I think it's just unlucky. But if it is still a real problem for hardcore PK'ers, I see no problem in testing the rezoning and possibly making the change permanent. :)

Not only are they basically boosting and undermining real pks, but its a nuisance to people trying to get inside. I mean how stupid do you have to be to think that blocking the entrance and sword spamming will get you more kills than any of the other idiots out there? Its still a fort and people try to take it. These people just get in the way.

~>Random Graalian: "LOOK! A wild door just appeared! Im gonna block it and sword spam so no one can get in :D"

O and I forgot, if the outside of MoD were changed to nonPK, there would be no need for the healing orb in the back. I only use it when i come inside because its only possible to get in with .5hp. I remember Rufus said he hates the idea of that healing orb last time he edited MoD's interior. So make the outside nonpk and the orb can just disappear.
