:D so :D
i was just wondering if there is any way to get rid of the glitch were cydia goes white and all the cydia apps go white ?.. its my friends ipod. im jb on 2 of my own (so you know) nothing is wrong with cydia , just the app(s) look. and its a untethered 4.2.1 2g , i only used redsn0w to fix the gp problems... HELP ??? i need a real quick fix plzzz !!! |
hmm i never used redsn0w...
Can you put a screenshot up meaby i can help you than |
well i always have done my idevies on green poison... but i fixed the gp problems with redsnow. and redsnow brings the white icons.... also i cant put one up cos i gave the ipod back.. and btw the white icons only happen so often here : http://cdn3.iphonehelp.in/content/up...6/IMG_0008.png
looks like that (SOMETIMES) and i know the just boot tethered trick, but its an untethered jailbreak. thanks. |
When you remove some tweaks on cydia than you get some hiden icons on the homescreen and theyr white when you reboot ur device should the white icons gone
this with cydia is new for me... i used only spirit, jailbreakme 2.0, limera1n, green poison, jailbreakme 3.0 and had no problems |
there the jailbreaks i use, but i used redsnow because u can choose what to do with it , eg patch cydia or so on so fourth. so that's the only reason the ipod crossed paths with the rs jb.
also on one of my jailbroken idevises rock just crashes as soon as i open it.. i got it from cydia |
If you're going to jail break your ipod then expect trouble... If you haven't already done so I would get this app from cydia (I can't remember what it is... could be default actually) that allows you to enter safe mode, try running your apps in that. It probably wont help but ehh... it's worth a shot.

The images for the apps are getting deleted. If you run out of space on your device it does that, or if you downloaded something bad on Cydia. Try removing a few things. Also, you could ask Jay, but he won't anwser for a while because of 2.x/3.x native problems. Also, use safe mode.
Also, to go into safe mode, get the package SBSettings, then swipe your statusbar and click power, then Safe Mode. |
thanks i have been jailbroken 5 times before and i jailbreak other peoples , i had just never came across this white cydia problem!!
thanks guys. (and its not my iPod my jailbreak is fine and never has been bad , so i will pass this on to the owner of the idevice.) |
I MISS MY MUSIC!
Ok people, here's my problem. I try to connect my iPod Touch (which is jailbroken) to my PC. The device sometimes shows up in My Computer, and sometimes it doesn't. When it does show up in My Computer, I get an 0xE error in which it says it can't connect to the device or something. The problem is, I can't tell if it's the iPod that's causing this or the newest update for iTunes that is, as I updated and jailbroke it around the same time. I have tried reverting to an older version of iTunes, but then I get an error which states that the iTunesLibrary.ttl file was created by a newer version of iTunes, and then iTunes fails to load. So, I can't sync anything. Help. |
1 check itunes is the latest version.
2 also check if your firmware is the newest. 3 and are you allowed to sync ? or does this error block syncing completely? |

Vista/7: User Folder \ My Music \ iTunes XP: My Documents \ My Music \ iTunes and renaming iTunes Library.itl to iTunes Library old.itl It's quite possible that you may have to re-organize/import your iTunes library afterward. |

Thanks to this method, I now know the problem lies with the jailbroken iPod. I would restore it to its factory settings, but I can't get it connected to iTunes to do so. Anyone know any other ways? |
