Maybe release it at $0.99, then a few days later increase the price to $1.99? Would be a nice treat for those of us with only $0.99 left on their iTunes account ;) Also, launch sales usually help people impulsively buy things, as people see the low price and buy things. Kind of like half-price customs.

Not just for me, but knowing how things work usually with the App Store, launch sales boost the popularity at the beginning.

I am not sure but it could be after a week of releasing the paid version.

i don't think they'll put the price down because it's in the first few weeks that everybody buys the app so they'll make more money.
