A guide to EC please? (not a guide)

Hello all I am back after a few months and decided to play era again!
I go to look at my profile and see that I have 9 EC not to bad but I have no idea how I am going to get another 11 or so as I obtained them through achievements, and I don't see myself getting any more achievements that I already have, however I got one for VIP is this going to continue for VIP? I don't think so but I might be wrong so is there someone that could make a guide to getting EC? I am now lost and do not know what to do for them other then events that i suck at :D

Just keep trying events, no matter how bad you seem; practice makes perfect, and plenty of practice will make you better. I'm not sure if the VIP for EC will continue though

Ok fair enough, thanks for that!

I'll be happy to give a guide on the event which you are best at (apart from luck events please xD).

Just something I use for races-
Instead of going one direction, (right, left, up, down) go two directions at once. (up-right, down-right, up-left, down-left) instead. Helps me a lot when it comes to quick corners.
Got me up to first a lot of times. Works great for waters races. Not much for the other races. You also gotta have faster fingers.

Trivia-Google(lol), fast fingers, and a quick mind. Know the questioneer. Sometimes a few hosters ask questions about themselves or others.

As for tag team spar- Just practice. Or spam. Use pbp if you wish to spam,(lol) and m4 for if you want to do it the fun way.

Pm Event Last Man Standing- (Walled) It's better to be out in the open to be honest. Too many people hog the sides and end up not being able to shoot the center.
(No Walls) Be around the middle. You don't want to be nearer to the center or the sides.
Be where there's less people. (Both) You need spar experience to do this, a lot of people win from knowing how to spar. Also, I don't know if grenades work anymore, but they're great for walls.

PM Event Crab Wrestling- Don't just stand there! People target others who stand around doing nothing. Don't chase after people, too. Make sure a person attacks first, dodge it, and attack them back. You have to be fast in this. When there's only a few people left, target the ones with lower hp. If people with higher hp are attacking you, guide them to the other high hp people. If they end up teaming on you, they can end up hurting eachother.
Don't trust anyone. (same for lms)

These are all I could think up for now, lol. Make sure you don't lag, and use a new higher generation device. Crashing happens all the time when you use a low generation device. Lagging can give people with great melees an advantage.

Practice, Practice, Practice. You can't expect to be good right away. Reading this won't make you better. Always participate! Goodluck to you, fellow graalian.

That made me feel better ean.
Just practice and try your best.

I have an old post that was a general guide to EC. I've edited it as it was slightly outdated. If there are any phrases that relate to healing or using artillery weapons, ignore those.

First off. Joining non-ec events are good. Not only do you earn some money from them, but they are a good practice event. You can join an event like Crab Wrestling (this is currently my most favourite), Last Man Standing, or Classic Killers to understand how it works and develop a strategy for it.

In Crab Wrestling
The start of the match is a bit of luck involved here. Make sure you avoid really crowded areas such as the middle. If you're aggressive, attack players who don't seem to be aggressive or aware of the situation. Attacking players who are currently busy with another target can make things easier too.

Once there are less players. You can choose to wait until enemies die or attack them. Attacking them is the more risky side. So you can choose to attack enemies who are busy with someone else. As in sparring, you know that the "player at the bottom area has the advantage". The same rules apply here. Attacking upward has more reach than the player attacking downward. This isn't graal classic. It's similar but played differently. Attacking horizontally has some slight reach upward. Keep that in mind. It other wise boils down to graal classic like sparring. If you've got classic spar skills. Then it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

In Last man Standing

Make sure you have at least these items with you
-A good combat spar gun

Some optional but quite useful items
-A wide spread range gun (as primary or secondary weapon)
-High damage gun (secondary if the freeze rate is high)

An extremely popular yet very frustrating event. There are 3 maps (I think). 2 that have walls and 1 that is one huge box. The beginning is for you to decide which place to hang out. You can choose whether to team up or go alone. Both have their risks. Teaming up has the chance of getting betrayed or some player just wiping out your entire team causing a mess.

If you teamed up.
Stay with your team if there is walls. I recommend choosing team if you get an L shaped wall at the top right corner. If you got an L shape at the bottom left corner, I wouldn't say choosing teams would be that safe. There is a risk of getting hurt by your team mates. So be very careful. If you leave your team and head somewhere else, your team may target you by accident if you come back. Be careful there.

If you went solo.
The challenge here is finding the right spot that can help you survive. Go for areas with less bullets flying around. Hanging near thick walls may help. Don't be afraid to shoot. If there's someone about to die and they're near you, kill them. Shooting can also block off paths so that you can survive a bit longer.

Near end match
You've got few players left. Prioritize your targets. Look at what guns your enemies are holding. Kill enemies with deadly guns when they are distracted or when you have the chance.

Did you get teamed?
It's annoying and it happens. Staying at corners while make enemies block off your escape paths. Walls are both dangerous and protective. The middle has more escape paths. But you're well open for getting attacked. Dealing with 2 enemies is difficult. Attack the enemy that is in good range for you to attack. Don't panic. But don't take your time too long.

The 1 vs 1
This is where it starts to get into skills. Remember the sparring rule in era. Player at bottom has advantage. Do your best when sparring. Make sure you have different weapons to use that may help you in various situations. Such as guns with high spread or guns that can shoot on your character's right side. Such as Dual Uzis, Deagles, Dual Mk23, Souizen, etc.

Increase your chances of winning this event by using a brand new ipad.

Classic Killers

Safe spots
The NPC enemy ai has a simple pattern. The player they target is simple. Obviously they target the player closest to them. But if players are equal distance to it, the NPC enemy will target the enemy based on direction. The player at the top has high priority target rate. It works like this.
__1
2 E 3
__4

The E is where the enemy NPC is. In this case, the classic noob. It targets enemy based on the number order. For example, if 1 and 2 are equal distance with the E. E will attack 1 first. If 2, 3 and 4 are equal distance to E. E will attack 2 first.

So the top is less safe than the bottom in terms of the noob targetting AI.
This event is a bit more of luck here. So good luck surviving it.

Tag Team Spar (TTS)

This is a very popular admin hosted event and is often done as the last event for the admin to host.

Start of the game
Prepare your weapons. You can equip different weapons through your inventory. Equip a good spar gun. A weapon that shoots on your "right hand" with at least low freeze such as Uzi, Souizen or Dual deagles. The right handed gun is useful when you are on Green Team. Because when at the top, you can hit enemies easier upon shooting down. Equip a gun with wide spread such as Tec9 so that you can hit enemies at the bottom easier when shooting horizontally. You can make an attempt to force the enemy to move up a bit or else they will take damage.

Lag Problems?
It's an issue for many players. If you have an old device, you will have to hang on to your luck to make sure you don't get tagged in.

Go tagged in with lag?
There is not much you can do here. Few guns retain their rate of fire in laggy situations. M4 and colt6 is one of the few. Don't be afraid to shoot. Don't helplessly grab the tag out block when the timer is still running. Slow down the enemy as they try to box you in. Remember though that tagging in can harm your team. If the enemy has more lag than you, then fight back. Be warned as they can tag in an enemy with less lag than you.

Dealing with Deadly Guns

BAR- No doubt it's a deadly gun. 10 damage per bullet if it's upgraded is something you can't ignore. Bar doesn't have the lowest freeze. So you can trick the enemy into shooting up as you rush down. Just make sure you have enough "lag" speed to rush down. Just avoid getting hurt by the bullet.

PBP- It is a scary gun but it can be countered. Huge spread and damage is considerably dangerous. The best and easy way of countering PBP is to use Reload Rush. PBP shoots 6? times before reloading. If the enemy shot 6 times, rush down as they will need to reload before they can shoot. Be quick though because the reload doesn't take THAT long. Keep in mind, the PBP has quite the freeze rate.

Souizen- What's scary about this gun? The low freeze rate and decent rate of fire. It works like a right handed m4 with a lot less freeze. Souizen is held on the right side of the character. So the souizen is weaker at the top left and the bottom right if you have a standard "left handed" weapon like an m4. Souizen has a long reload.

Your Health is precious
You must understand that your health is extremely important. Avoid any unnecessary damage. Keep your health as high as possible. You won't get healed until the entire enemy team is eliminated. You will have players who will tag out because they don't want to fight. 90% of the time, if you get tagged in, you take damage. Avoid leaving yourself into a state where 1 more bullet will kill you.

Focus always
Refrain from talking frequently. You never know when you'll get tagged in. Don't get caught typing when you're tagged in. Avoid checking your inventory frequently. Especially for ipod/iphone users.

How can I "safely" tag in a team mate?
If the enemy is far at the bottom, you can tag your team mate "safe" enough for them to avoid bullets. Tagging in a team mate when the enemy is close to the top is unsafe for your team mate. They won't have a chance to avoid the bullet.

Got no lag?
Take full advantage of it. If you have a good gun then you should do most of the combat. Your team will need you. You are very valuable. Defeat or harm as many enemies as possible. You don't have to kill them. Killing them will automatically tag you out. You can leave them to a state where one more bullet will kill them. Just be very careful not to take damage. Don't rush too much. Even if the enemy is lagging bad. You can still get hurt. Another good way is to keep scaring the team. You can give damage to one enemy. They panic in fear and tag in another team mate. Give them damage. The cycle continues. Until you get eventually "auto tagged out" with another team mate or you managed to lose the bottom territory.

These are general tips. Mostly for players who are new to earning ec. All the other events are luck based or there is no real guide needed for them.

Additional Tip. Speed boost can give you that extra edge of winning.
