The BAR will not upgrade, only repair.'bug'
 

It seems the game will not let me upgrade BAR.
whether its something I'm not doing, or a problem with the game I'm not sure.

I have been to the desk in gun point where upgrades and repairs for guns are done, yet when I chose to upgrade the BAR it says "your weapon is already in perfect shape".

The shop dealer only seems to be giving out repairs and not upgrades at the moment unfortunately.

Is there any way around it?

EDIT: to clarify the problem, I know it hasn't upgraded because its still on 9 damage, I do realise what perfect shape means that's why I'm here. The upgrade just won't work.

Obviously your weapon is in perfect shape....

It's doing 9 damage, not 10.
So no it won't upgrade.

I sent a few bullets into crabs to see the damage done, I hope that was the correct way but when it was showing 9 I thought something may be wrong. Ive read everywhere that it should do 10 upgraded.

The counter does have the button to improve weapon, but all it seems to be wanting to do is repair and not improve for some weird reason.

Did you just buy the BAR today? I believe you have to wait 24 hours before you can repair/upgrade a gun after you buy it, then afterward it goes to "good shape" still doing 9 damage. You can upgrade it then to get the +1 damage.

And crab damage is always the default damage of guns, no +1 effect.

Ah, well I will see if it upgrades tomorrow then.

I've been using dual desert eagles a lot recently (they are seriously good guns, for killstreaking) but haven't been able to upgrade because of the egg shack entrance covered up in ice. Haven't really been using anything else until now.

Damage on Npcs will be its normal damage found in the guns description, not anything else, say if it was in damaged and did 7 dmg still on crabs it would do 9
