How To: Basing Gang.

1. Invest in yourself.

If you're the owner, invest in your items, guns and skill. In fact, before you start a gang you should try to obtain/become efficient with a decent weapon. Sparring may help. Spar skills can help you judge distance and understand where your opponent will most likely move.

You should expand your gun collection too. Save up those gralats. Usually you want to have three types of guns. A gun you spar with, spam with and spray with (shotgun). You should aim for the more expensive ones because you have the challenge of matching the firepower used against you.

I am not in any way saying you can't use moderately affordable weapons. I'm just saying that you can level the playing field a bit.

2. Activity and Recruitment.

You should be a persistent baser yourself. Being lazy will make players leave your gang. While in bases, you will find that people want to join you, given you have the skill to impress them. Most will move on and forget about you, however do not loose faith. There are good people out there who will believe in your gang.

The alternative to active basing is picking a spot and spamming recruitment messages. One way is to type a general message and copy the text, then paste whenever you need to repeat your message. This method is not advised. *99% of those people will not be determined basers. You might even be exposing them to basing. Anyway, you can gain members here too if you have no one online to play with. Or just advertise on the forums.

Another tactic is to spar and chat with others. Any interaction can lead to a friendship and in turn could add another gun to your team.

3. Structure

I'm learning that the proper use of the main gang and the sub gang can help your organization.

You reserve your main gang for your most active members, who may become leaders. Those leaders maintain the gang members. Your sub gang is a reserve for offline members and temporary members. All permanent members will likely have two tags to keep them in touch with the main. Then you can use your sub gang for basing, given you have an overflow of people of the main tag.

4. Drama

You need to keep a cool head. People will test you all the time with this and that, so you just need to keep yourself collected and take actions that are fair.

Also be careful with disputes because they can rip your team in half.

When assigning powers (excluding recruit), you should be very selective. Don't give just anyone kick, change rank, etc.

5. Patience

Be patient and let your less experienced members grow. Some people just need some time to get better weapons and skills. As a leader, you can encourage your members to improve.

Also, you will encounter many days where your gang seems hopeless. This is normal. As long as you keep your goal in mind you should be fine.

6. Tactics

You can learn different strategies by joining other guilds and actively basing with them, before you start your own.

Aw, well thanks, Lol! You did nail everything on the head in this guide tho, like biggie smalls once said : "follow these rules, you'll have mad bread to break up" , except the bread would be base hours lol

I agree with 5 especially. Check Gabe R. from Ebizou no purosu. He used to be in my gang PiRelate, given we never got that great, but 13 hours is a lot for a three-man-group. Gabe was a player that Optimuswhat and I met at start. This applies to the "pick a spot" tactic, and he fell into that 1% that was there to the end. He eventually got a PBP and was a crucial, persistent, diligent member in our gang. Patience is a virtue.
