Improved Class Spar

This is just a idea but what if there were classes in spar so everyone would get a chance at a fair fight. I often see famous sparers going against noobs and winning with 3 hearts and though that everyone should fight someone their level. This would make spar separated into different rooms.
Room One
This room would be unrestricted and would allow anyone to spar in it.
Room Two
This room would only allow people with 0-200 spar wins/loses
Room Three
This room would only allow people with 200-1000 spar wins/loses
Room Four
This room would only allow people with 1000-5000 spar wins/loses
And so on, hope my idea contributes to future improvements :)

I like this idea.. It's always a pain in the ass to spar unfairly

Thanks

If it balances sparring, im all for it.

Means if you have 50000 wins and noone else does, you can't spar anyone else? Dislike this idea, spar can't be balanced since it is determinded by skills, not W/L nor latency.

they could make a room only for people with 20k wins or higher..i think this is a great idea to stop boosters and people who lure noobs to spar them for easy wins :o

Xenthic 01-16-2013 04:21 PM

But what about if someone has a 2nd account? and on there main they have like 10k+ wins?

MrSimons 01-16-2013 04:50 PM

I think it should be judged by your W/L instead of just wins.

Edward 01-16-2013 05:01 PM

Ya, i agree with this idea as well. Though I barely play classic anymore, I see it as more of a way to stop boosters from boosting.

I really like this idea. +1

Thanks again

In my opinion, their isn't enough active sparring to split it up into more rooms. However, I think sparring should be split up by their elo ranking(well modified elo), not their w/l. Elo rating is the most accurate measure of skill, compared to w/l, because you can get lots of wins beating noobs or a bad w/l because you only spar pros.

So you mean to tell me that if you get one of these noobs with high spar ratings that claim to be the best sparer in graal and then make them spar with a 3rd gen ipod they would still have that high spar rank?

This sounds better

I want this idea to happen but the only concern is that spar pros could use a 2nd account to spar. Maybe some way to tell if they are doing that

Right, I disagree because of this. Even I don't spar. Pros can easily reach 200-20. I think instead if your spar streak is over certain number you move to other room with more expert sparrers. That way it keeps pros out of newbies room.
