Basically, theres a shop where you buy guns based on weapon proficiancy, for example if you want to get a GEK-38 assault rifle, you need to level up your assault rifle proficiency, which also requires skill points and ISK, the games primary currency. Skill points are earned via matches and slowly grow while your offline. ISK is earned from matches, more depending on how good you do. ISK can buy a great deal of things. Weapons, dropsuits (the games version of armor), tanks and dropships (all the aprts to customize those too), and skills.
Also, if you wonder how matches and such work, heres the jist of it. EVE online players will provide air support should they happen to be present on the planet your invading, and your playing on the "Ambush- OMS" (OMS means Off-Map Support) game mode. Then your team gets the ability to send in a strike either via a supply depot or by pressing the right directional button. From there you can also spawn in vehicles and such, which all players get 1 with unlimited spawns to begin with. If you have a ton of questions or need help understanding something about DUST 514, shoot me a PM if you want it replied to faster. Pease keep in mine the game also has a tutorial system, with the big blocks of text. Those explain things a lot more in depth.
Also: everything in the lobby screen (dropsuit fitting, etc.) is accessible via nanocom, which can be accessed by pressing L1. The giant shop is under market then the first option there.
