Pay2Win?
So, I've been shoveling since I started playing. I've been able to afford AK47, among other things. The issue is, though, I've spent roughly 15 hours playing this game and I feel like I am way far off from the weapons and things I DO want. I can make about $1000 for every 10 shovels I use up, but that doesn't feel like enough, especially when I see items like the BAR for sale for $200k.
Is this game considered Pay 2 Win? It seems like I would need to spend an unreasonable amount of time doing a task like this for ONE weapon. |
I don't think I need to point this out but eh, wrong section. :)
But yeah, to answer your question, 200k for a gun does sound very Pay2win. |

Don't worry, has been moved to the Era forums. :-)

Era is pay to win. No ****. Unless you want to spend your life earning a pixel weapon, then give up.

pretty much all gun games end up pay2win

i bought my bar with real money, wanna fight about it?
|
Sure.
Anyway, You can get 1000 in an hour? You'd have to dig for roughly 200 hours, which is 8.3 days. Solid. That seems almost too much. Although the gun is the most powerful in the game. Yeah, based on that math, I'd agree about the Pay2Win. |

Good point. But 8 days solid, no sleep. With breaks that's probably double the time taken.

Era is pay2win. It was much worse though before. Shipka was a nightmare back then. Possibly one of the easiest guns you can ever use. It's stats are broken.
Low freeze Incredibly high clip size Great damage (9 upgraded) Fast reload 2 shots per bullet Fast rate of fire Shipka had practically no weakness. It was hard playing era with such broken balancing and making it pay2win. What sort of fun comes from pay2win? Honestly, you're gonna get bored fast once you get the ultimate guns. It's like using a cheat code to end the game early. |
It's not really a pay to win game, a lot of players (such as myself) worked in game for our items. And I see pay2win as more of recieving a different currency with real money that is used to buy extremely opd stuff.
