A Question for iGraal

Why bother hiring new Player Relations when players can't even find them? There is only two ways you can currently check avalible staff members. You can use showguild, or search them. There would be no hassle if you'd enable the showstaff command, or even better, add an online staff GUI. New players wouldn't know who or how to contact staff to report a problem. Why not make it easier?

It would also be mandatory to link the staff member's profile to the online staff list.

O but there is, there is a feedback and report button like most games.

Last time I checked that didn't show which staff members were online.

You don't need to know which staff are online? If you added what he said to add staff would get more spam of "Canz I b Adiam" and less legit questions. Feedback is easier on staff.

Not sure about iEra, but on iClassic reports and feedback get responded to fairly quickly.

They probably don't want their profiles too easily accessible to the public, and I don't blame them, knowing the in-game community.

Pretty good idea.

Out of 50 helpfull feedback's I've sent on era, in 2 years I have gotten:0 replies.
They do not respond to us (feedback) on era.

A few weeks ago I needed an account transfer, which only Albus and Xor can do. So feedback is pretty useless at that point.

I think he's also referring to problems such as where to get an account transfer, how to identify, someone stole their account, etc. He can't feedback or report those questions so he has to find a staff to contact about the issue.

The Doctor 02-03-2013 06:43 PM

Yea. In most cases you can't just feedback the answer. I'd rather contact a staff member this way.

Let me also ask you this. Why do you think we can search the staff member's name, but can't have a menu with the names?

Remember that not everyone will just spam I WANT DOLL AND MELEE. Some people actually have legit problems.

If you show what and which staff is on, people would abuse it mostly. As in "Oh, hey, look. There is no staff online let's glitch!" or something.

Karahaut 02-05-2013 01:57 PM

PC Graal had this and it was very useful for contacting Staff. Just because no admin is online doesn't mean they are gonna abuse it.

Craig 02-05-2013 02:01 PM

PC Graal still has this, and the reason there are (mostly) no abusers on PC Graal are:
there are never more than 120 people on a server;
the PC Community isn't made out of trolls are mentally challenged kids.
If you have 1600 players on a server I'm pretty sure 100(+++++) will glitch, or violate the rules while no staff is online. And, no offense, but the iServers are having a lot of glitches which annoy other players, example: using bombs/arrows/food while sparring, iClassics.
