Graalians - The Zone Avant-Garde

What is the Avant-Garde?
The Avant-Garde is a group of skilled individuals that are talented in either level design or pixel art. This group will be focusing on assignments that have chances of being implemented on to the server. The purpose of this group is to help prepare future staff members and to give them a portion of how being staff is like. The Avant-Garde is a replicate of Classic’s Initiative, but will have more features and benefits to it. There are no requirements to join, except that the player is required to show one leader of the Avant-Garde a piece of their work. Pieces turned in, whether an applicant or member for an assignment, will be checked for plagiarism. Anybody can join, no matter what your past history is like.

What are the Benefits of Joining?
1. Collaborative assignments; players will work closely with other members or maybe even staff members to complete levels/graphics that, as mentioned, will have a chance of being implemented into the server. There will be actual deadlines and admins will push and mentor members.
2. Possibly a Skyworld hangout that will display the work of the Initiative members.
3. A point system; members will be able to complete assignments/contests to attain points. They can use these points to reach certain milestones, which will give them rewards (custom hat, free head/body upload, custom furniture, etc). This system can possibly help determine who seems fit to be on Zone’s staff team.
4. Along with the point milestones, there are also ranks. Each rank has a different color, and you can possibly earn a paintbrush gani, the color depending on which rank you are.
5. Once a member’s piece of work is implemented into the server, they receive their item for free!
6. As mentioned, this program will help players to experience a portion of how a staff member’s life is like.
7. Players will be given the chance to show off their work on the forums and receive constructive criticism from both staff and other members on how to improve their work. This will help lots in preparing future staff members.
8. Soon after releasing the Avant-Garde, there will be an academy for those that want to learn how to level design or create pixel art.

What Makes us Different
You may be wondering, what makes the Zone Avant-Garde different than the Classic Initiative? We have already thought about this, and to make us unique, members of the Avant-Garde will be given assignments that Classic members don’t do. The Avant-Garde will have assignments to create NPCs that decorate a cool themed building, creating robots that can be sold, guns, melees and much more! Another cool thing is that we also include an academy in our program for graphics! If you’re new to the graphics development skill, just request to join and we’ll help you out by teaching you the basics.

Make sure to include one piece of your work that is either a level or a GFX piece. If you'd like to join our Academy, make sure to have the word "Academy" in your subject title! The Academy
What's the difference between the Academy and the regular program? The Academy is a way for BRAND NEW GFX Artists to learn the very basics of that development skill. If you already know the basics, I recommend going to the regular program.
