I noticed this before but all new hats kinda have the same style. I asked a graphics staff he told me it was "graal style". Why is it called graal style, was it just slapped on there? Are they forced to do this style?

Yes it's a certain "style", you are not forced to do it though ! you can do whatever style you feel comfortable with !

Classic doesn't have any particular style, in fact it seems to use a lot of very different styles.

Their new style looks really pretty to me (:! The "Graal Style" seems to use less colors & more Anti Aliasing. I think the shape/shading of their hats, have a more clean style than they did a year or two ago. All of their current hats seems to use paler colors too 0:!. Like Smoke said, I don't think they are forced to make the style but maybe it's preferred so that it fits along with Classic iPhone.

It'd be better if there was an effort to keep a uniform style, but I know that's not a reality.

im not sure i would want uniform style hats... unless this style only includes the GOOD stuff and not the crap.

and besides, there is HUGE difference in style between the 1000default heads and 75% of uploaded heads (very simple design vs main focus on more hair and much more detailed shading)

There should be a hat rating where when you tap on a hat you are given an option to either thumbs it up, or thumbs it down. You would release a multitude of hats and if it gets a significant amount of dislikes, then it gets removed from the store. Not from the database, but just the store since someone who paid for the hat might like if when others did not. This way you'd have more room for hats people enjoy instead of finding out the day after you bought an iTunes card that the hat you really wanted to buy was replaced with some nasty looking pixelated mess.

I know! XD Journey has a particular style on her hats and it looks really amazing, but sadly they don't fits to any of my personal heads. :(
