Is democracy the best form of government?
 

Give me your thoughts, I'm curious as to what this community thinks about this topic. Going to do a research/persuasive essay on it soon as well.

Oh definitely not, it has tons of flaws. Some benefit from it, others do not. However, it is the most fair type of government. And the people have no one to blame but themselves should anything go wrong. "Yeah that President sucked!" "Well, you voted for him..."

Without much research I would say yes. Mainly because many countries with democracy seem to be prospering more at the moment.

No i am for anarchy

Democracy is basically a popularity contest and the group that wins can ruin the country and be like "You chose us. You chose this".

Democracy put us in the state we are in (if you live in America). Dictatorship is actually the most effective form, not saying I agree with it, but when something only needs to be approved by one person, **** gets done fast and you don't have to wait for the old white haired men to argue

Democracy is a double edged sword.

Tbh, government interferes with a natural property commonly called "Survival of the Fittest". Theres a reason why laws, regulations, and enforcement is required, because humanity itself isnt smart enough to comprimise and advance in life without a set of rules and a gun pointed at one party's head.

That would be good, except realistically it'll almost always turn out poorly.
