Sparring Help?
 

First post. Don't know if it is in the right section but whatever. Well, as you know, the Spring GST 2013 is coming up. I want to participate, but my spar is a little low. What techniques do you Graalians use, and is there anyone out there willing to teach me?

I'm not a pro but I don't think spar can be taught. It's all practice I think.

Keep running in O, C or S shape until you see a chance to hit. If you are hitting directly or sideways keep spam your sword, because usually laggers are around in gs.

no-sword.png makes it harder to see how far your swing reaches. Personally I think it's cheap, but it does fool players with less knowledge of the sword. Openings are the biggest challenge in spar. Even when you think they're open, they have less than a second to turn around and hit again. You can trick your opponent by pretending to come at them one way, and do a nice loop around and hit them the moment they think they have you. Never just charge half assed at a person because they will most likely know which direction you're coming from and take advantage of it. Honestly though, practice does make perfect. I just learned by playing a lot of people.
