Feature Request: Gift Codes
 

I think Graal iPhone should have Gift Codes that you can buy or earn by doing forum activities. For instance once a member earns 250 posts they get a little Gift Code. When you redeem a Gift Code it's always a surprise! You could get 100-5000 gralats or maybe a random hat or furniture item. +Rep if you agree.

Graalians is a fan forum and I really doubt Stefan/unixmad would want to do that.

If it means Stefan/Unixmad getting involved here, definitely not. I like the forums in the state they are currently in where the pair has virtually no control whatsoever.

What about taylorrichaards.com? They had redeemable codes that could be found on the website. I'm actually pretty sure that site is part of Graalians.

Weren't those codes for iTunes gift cards?

On Taylor Richaards we did competitions that were supported by the staff. That's a bit different from simply doing handouts for every person that achieves a certain amount of posts, because it's a one off with a limited amount of winners. I don't think the staff of Classic or Era would be against supporting future competitions, but milestone handouts aren't really appropriate because yeah, it's a fansite.

Lots of people would be posting meaningless comments or one word posts lol.

I don't like this idea at all. It just seems odd that one would get a "gift" for talking a lot.

I don't like the idea of unixmad or Stefan or XOR having any control in this, it's bad enough all the staff members can delete threads and posts that they don't want players to see, they do enough censoring in game,


Plus people would just do spam posts and such without contributing to the thread, And would lead to noobs joining and spamming up the forum.
