Ship Repair!
 

Oh no! these battered up ships just got ambushed during a pvp match on Choros. Your job is to fix them up and send them off. Get the wrench and put all 6 parts back in to be rewarded and thanked by the pilots.


So yeah ship repairing was added to zone. Its a really quick and easy way to earn gralats and a repair takes about 30 seconds to complete. Also, you can say in the over head chat: showrepairs and it will tell you the amount you have repaired.

I love ship repair and am really impressed with how much content has been released this week! My only issue with ship repair is how it makes other money gathering activities obsolete.

I find mining to be more entertaining but it takes more time and effort than ship repair to get the same amount of money. You have to fight off NPCs and complete a full mission to claim gathered minerals. On top of that, mining bots are more expensive than wrenches, and the cost to repair them is high. To be on par with ship repair, the price of minerals should probably be increased by at least 50%.

In the time you can clear out mission 1 of all of its minerals, giving you a yield of probably ~15 minerals that sell on average ~12 graalats a piece, you could probably repair 20-30 ships which give 11 graalats each, and there's no threat of dying and losing your work with ship building. You also have to go to the robot shop every 5-6 missions to sell your minerals and repair your robot. Ship repair is really easy and predictable while even experienced players can occasionally be overwhelmed by NPCs and die while mining. When I mine in mission 5 I need to use medic bots because of the Aliens and it can take me a really long time to gather all the minerals. Mining should be at least as good as ship repair because missions are really cool and we should have an incentive to do to them.

This reminds me of Era's "Speedy Pizza" :P but this is a really quick way to get money! and i love how, as soon as you put the wires on the ship, you can get a muffler, go to another ship, and do it again, it makes the process really quick :D
