Map changes

Have you ever wondered how ppl seem to know the blob has spawned? And how everybody, and their grandma seem to show up when it gets down to 1/4 health? Through constant recruiting for a towering guild I found out that some ppl simply check the map every so often, and when they see a build up of player icons in swamp that usally means the blob is there. That combined with the fact that when somebody is going through to swamp tower and they see the blob they tell their friends and guild mates.

So I was thinking to help cut down on the amount of ppl showing up in swamp they could get rid of the player icons on the map screen. It would still show your guild members location and your friends location. I just think we don't really need to know where the majority of players are at a given time. More often than not thats going to be graal city anyways. Personally I don't use it and just turn it off anyways

I also thought why not change it to a bug indicator that shows where bugs are spawning instead of where all the players are. It might be nice if it showed the status of Pyrate bay as well. (if your time is up and you can do the quest).

This is the only sensible thing you suggested , I'm fully behind you in terms of pushing this idea.

agreeing with tricxta

This is the most stupidest idea ever, I've always liked seeing where everyone is so I can avoid that place.

Unfortunately, it was an idea already suggested. Sure wish it was implemented though!

I would hate to have bug indicators. That removes the challenge in finding them and hunting them for yourself. Not as fun of the simple joy of an open mouthed gape as a player stumbles upon a bug for himself...only to have it taken shortly afterwards.

of course Blueh would be against bug indicators XD

Won't make a difference. People will find out through guild chat and other methods too.

Like Blueh said, I'd rather not have bug indicators. If a bunch of noobs could pull out a map and find an agrias butterfly that had just spawned above swamp for instance, everyone would rush over and crowd it and start making panic swings on it and drive it into the middle of the ocean. Might as well have baddy and gralat indicators. Don't forget Easter Egg indicators for Easter!

Like the Pyrat Quest idea though.

Completely agree with this idea, would be nice to see it implemented.

Ty Haze, but I think twilit had a better idea.

Currently the map has 4 buttons to show/hide all players, friends, guild members, buildings.
But what if the buildings were categorized?
my map buttons:
[1]
[2]
[3]
[4][5][6][7][8]
1= all players, 2=friends, 3=guild, 4=buildings
subs for buildings: 5=shops, 6=residence, 7=pub/hangout, 8=info/other
Buttons 5678 only appear if button 4 is on. However, only one building button can be on at a time because we dont want to over clutter map with labels. Turning button 4 off turns all buildigs off and buttons 5678 are hidden.

I think it would be better like that. As far as my idea goes they could alter the quest folder in your items to show eye patches then if you click on it then it will show how long until you can do the quest again.
