Not really, Comcast and Verizon can both give you those speeds with their residential plans, if everything aligns correctly. I know my grandfather gets about 30Mbps with his Comcast plan.

On the other hand, that upload speed is ridiculous for residential.

Did some research, basically, canada is still behind in terms of upgrading interent speeds. Here in canada, its Bell,Rogers, Telus. High prices, crap service. Things are changing though espicially with Verizon coming to Canada.

Ya, people I chat with who live in Canada have a lot of complaints. I think Australia is in a similar situation.
