HTC One VS iPhone 5 VS Samsung Galaxy S4
 

Upgrade is due and I need a new phone, I've decided between the
3 in title although I really want a android phone. Which one should I get? Other suggestions welcome.

GALAXY S4

Throwing in my vote for the HTC One.

But to each their own. The HTC One and the S4 are pretty similar in terms of hardware, so it's all up to personal preference.

Galaxy s4! it looks pretty high tech

I would prefer an S4.

iPhone shouldn't even be in this, as iOS is a terrible OS in terms of customization, and freedom.

It works as a functional phone. It doesn't have to have the ability to use an animated background, or emulate games, or anything like that, to work.

I'd go with the S4 though.

S4 vote here too. Samsung is taking over.
I'd be wary of HTC since they're on the verge of bankruptcy.

I got a Galaxy Note 2 which is like the big brother for the S series. Screen is huge and the size can be intimidating it becomes natural after you use it for awhile. Bigger=longer lasting battery as well if that's important to you.

I can't really say much for anything else but the S4 seeing as it's the only one I own. It's pretty good, even though I barely use half the "cool" features on it. If you're going to be using it for gaming though, it gets pretty hot towards the top where the CPU is even with the most simplest of games. Not unbearably hot, but still hot enough to put you off whatever you're playing at times. I've heard this is a problem with a few S4's, but I could just be unlucky with my one.
