Bug questions

Just a few questions that I had:

1. Where are the best places to find pillbugs and agrias butterflies? Ive never seen one outside of other players' houses and I really wanna find one. They're the only bugs I'm missing from my collection.

2. Do bees ever have a day that the witch pays more than usual for them? And can you still find them by killing pyrats?

3. I've noticed that sometimes bugs appear faded, but this never happens to butterflies. Does anyone know why that is and what it means about the bug?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

1. I defintely don't classify myself as a bug catcher, but before the railway re-vamp, the railway caves were a very good place for finding pillbugs. I haven't seen one in a while now, I guess they are quite 'rare'. I think they tend to spawn in caves, though.
As for the agrias butterfly, I believe I saw one flying around MoD just yesterday. I don't think it has a specific spawn area, but like all butterflies it tends to roam around a lot.

2. Even if there is a day where the witch is feeling 'stingy', I don't think she'd pay extra for a bee. (this has still yet to be confirmed)
Also, are you referring to bees spawning in the Pyrat Bay cave? I haven't seen one spawn in there for a while. It didn't make sense to spawn bees in a cave full of baddies anyway, so it was probably patched.

3. Faded bugs are a funny case indeed. Studies have not shown any differential behavior between faded bugs and normal ones. Once a faded bug is caught, it is reverted back to its original form. In short, it's probably just a 'bug'.

Best of luck in your bug catching endeavors, young grasshopper.

1. There really is no set location for pillbugs. They can be anywhere, in any room at any time. Argias is a bit more narrowed. Mainly in outdoor levels (this applies to oasis, bees knees and Onnet forest) but are highly rare. If you see one, don't miss. It'll most likely be the only one you see in a very long time.

2. Yes, and yes.

3. That's because when they're faded (mostly applies to grasshoppers) it means they're in an Unreachable area. When grasshoppers or mantises cannot find another bush or hop to another tile, they vanish. This doesn't apply to butterflies because they can simply fly over all the tiles without having to worry about being caught between tiles or have nowhere to fly to.
