Mute Option!
 

for the longest time now, i've been fed-up with the iclassic community. I only associate with the remaining few in the ventrue clans, and my friends list., with a huge count of 5 friends added. I'm sorry, might just seem like this is a bitchy idea, and knowing full well that it is, -- I'd like to introduce the "mute" setting, this option would be accessed via your profile, more actions, options, "Mute". 'But what would this do?'.

Glad you asked! It's a setting that would make everyone that you do not have on your friends list "mute". Mute being that, they can not PM you, nor can you PM them, and you can't see there over world chat. This in my opinion would be GREAT. I'm tired of the sparrer trash talk, I'm sick of the idiotic grammar and miss-spelled insults. I've literally had it "up to here" type level.

I could just keep blocking players like I normally do., But I'm already passed well over 600 players blocked, and due to that, i have load time on my account, and I think it might be attributing to the recent server lag... but, that's just my idiotic opinion.

I just set PMs to friends only and block everybody in sight.

Sadly I've been doing that, and as a result, there is now load time, when i log in, it's not an instant connection, (like it used to be). Also as a result of this., when searching guilds, or players, there is a ridiculous amount of 'loading time.' coupled with freezing;

I just heard of the amazing idea of blocking the advertisers, but it's more of a pain keeping up with it than I thought. I can't believe I didn't think of this myself.

Ya, that too, no more 'im recruit for buttztowerhatcharserclan' or, 'enter my house, let me scam you out of gralats!'

So basically adding overhead-chat-elimination to the "Friends Only PMs" option? Then yes that is a wonderful option.

You can use pms from friends only/invites from friends only, though that doesn't cover overhead chat.

There would be next to nothing I'd want to do. Besides, this takes it farther then just sparring.

The point is to cover the overhead chat. And the added bonus is not getting pms about it, that was one thing i never liked about PM's from 'blank ' only, to me that is implying that everyone trash talks, insults, or just general "not-wanting-to-talk" only happends via PM.

I have found out recently how much more peaceful life can be once you start blocking people. I know this isn't the best option if your in a towering guild and need to know vital info like if the flag is under attack,and somebody is flooding gc with spam. I tend to block all spammers,and trash talkers anymore. It's so nice to not have to click through bs spam to find out there's an event or the flag is low.

I find the block over head messages option intriguing. I think it would be even better if it was like the house north of battle arena where you can't see other players when inside.
