The Zorbis and the Gnomes?
4 Attachment(s)
I've tried looking this up in threads but they are a little out-dated and/or closed. Tried asking many players in-game, no one seems to know too much.
Zorbis: 1.) South-west of Mod Town there is a place where you can use your mouse to get to a cave entrance and a big treasure chest. Attachment 14045 2.) Upon entering this cave, you get kicked out by two Zorbis to the bottom of the waterfall. Attachment 14046 Attachment 14047 3.) From where you've been thrown, you can go inside the waterfall where you'll meet up with 2 Zorbis guarding the entrance to somewhere. You need permission to get inside. Attachment 14048 If it's possible, where can one get permission to enter? Gnomes; I've also read little on the gnomes of Graal, in-game (in Swamp Town, I'm sure ya'll know the place) and on the forums. In a separate thread it said that the quest or story line hasn't been finished yet. I figure this to be true since I've looked almost EVERYWHERE and came up empty handed except for writings in random houses. I've read something about a hammer and rare tears... beats the hell out of me. Can I get to the gnome cave that the little gnome kid in Swamp Town is talking about? If this is a repeat thread, send me in the right direction. If you know something I don't, inform me so I'm not running in a damned circle. Please and thank you. |
No and no.

I don't think this has any use right now, its been like that since MoDTown was released but hopefully some day it will mean something. |
Thanks Ryan and Bubbles. Just seems weird that they would leave something like that unfinished for what seems to be a long time. Maybe they're working on it..?

Graal. The. Adventure. |
That zorbi chest has been there FOREVER. Since iclassic started. Can't open it, can't get in the cave. I saw some one hack/glitch in behind the guards and there isn't even a link inside there to get to another level. NO WAY IN.
As to the gnomes, there are a few places they are mentioned (Thule library, Stefan's House, etc) and there is a random locked door down in swamp that has, likewise, BEEN THERE FOREVER. They are placeholders... possibly... but more likely just to create an illusion of possibilities at this point (like that annoying guy in the blue armor last year yelling at those poor lumberjacks). Also included in things you can't do (so don't bother trying) are the Golden Gate (used to go to the midas realm, but only if you had all the graals) and the bannon's crypt (that guard out front is too scared to go in, so you can't either). |
Normally I would never suggest something be deleted when there is IMO still a lack in Content, but I would think they could remove the Golden gate since there is no use for it Atm. They have all ready deleted things no longer in use anyways like the Bomber's cave and the Crypt that Mr. 4-Lom mentioned.
Again I don't like when they delete things unless they have something that's ready to go to replace it with. So with that being said. Why not put in a second gate and link the two together. Not saying they have to create a whole new town/area could just be somewhere that is all ready in the game. For example: there could be another Golden gate on Oasis Island just as another way to get there. Another possibility would be to just replace it with something else. Like a new tower or shop or relocate an old shop there like Lavenders. |
Sadly ATM those levels have no use and the "gnome mines" you've heard of via houses, npcs, etc. do not exist.
(or so we think) |

Oh and if you talk to the Bannon's Crypt guard, you can fight in the non-pk area in the surrounding spot. |
Golden Gate has rarely ever had a purpose in Graal. It used to a long time ago, and maybe the iterations I wasn't around for(Tyhm's, pretty much, around 2001-2004 or so)... but I doubt many players still hanging around Graal actually played when you could get into the Golden Gate. Despite it mostly being inaccessible, it has always been there. It's pretty much the staple landmark of the Classic world.
So ya... Golden Gate isn't about a quest so much as a landmark. It would be silly to remove it. |
