Let's make furniture even better!
I love furniture. I love creating things in my house. What I don't like boring furniture that doesn't stick out.
My idea is to have a shop that has admin and player-made furniture. It could be in the wonderful town of York! They would be new, interactive items. Some examples would be water patches (like train tracks) that allow you to make streams and lakes. You could have boats! Other things there could be are trees, bushes, grass, and stumps. They are already made and would be great additions. I'd also like to see some special items like mirrors, warps, spawners, and buyable floors for your house. Who wouldn't like chilling out on your 2 roomed house while hosting events? I wanted to give ideas that could be easy and hard. Furniture is rarely added, and I think it's the most underrated function in the game. Let's make it awesome! |
I agree with everything in this thread.

I suggested something like this to dusty and he said no. Anyways you can just make your own furniture by using a personal shield and putting it on a statue. For decor anyways. and putting boxes behind it.

The only problem with bushes is that it would allow farming to be exploitable... water would have to somehow interact with the water tiles already in place in many houses/guild houses... I feel that we need a whole revamp on the house-building system, to make it more of a 'level-building' system... Nice summary of what we have discussed in other areas of this same sub forum though!

I plan to one day release some quest-oriented furniture(I have previewed it on the forums a while ago), but when it will be possible to release that I'm not sure. I never said such furniture will be allowed, but that warping furniture will probably never happen.
Interactive furniture is great, but it can be a ton more work compared to just a couch or such. |
I agree with everything Dusty said cause he is an admin and scripter and can give me hats and I love free admin hats.

Also implying that a person can only work specifically on one thing the entire time of production! |
