Country specific events again ??

As we all know Rufus left classic staff :/ but I'm pretty sure he was the one who restricted country specific events ... So now that he is gone does it mean we are gonna get them back ? Starting by the Chinese New Years celebration ?

If your referring to Chinese New Year, its not really country specific. Correct me if I'm wrong but it's not. Its not just celebrated in China, and it's the same as celebrating New Years, which they did, just in a different place, and different calendar.

What's wrong with country specific events??

You're the one who gets limited edition hats and crap.

Eugeen 02-01-2014 04:48 PM

Maybe, as far as I know it seems like it :p

First of all "Chinese " New Years <~ the name pretty much sums up it's specific to a country ... Yes some people do celebrate it out of chine but it's mostly people who live by Chinese tradition or simply chose to participate , but this can be said about many other country specific events suck as the day of the dead , it's Mexican but allot of people celebrate it out of Mexico , so yea sorry if that was a lil confusing

it's about the popularity of a holiday/event, how is this hard for you people to grasp?

I think Rufus might have been referring to the Super Bowl, that crap was just not cool. Anyway, I dont know why it's been a big deal lately. Classic has always celebrated country country specific holidays (Cinco De Mayo, St Patrick's day, Aussie day and Guy Fawkes)

When did Graal Classic have a Guy Fawkes holiday?

Rufus left before Australia day, why was there no Australia day?

Probably due to no demand and time to set up

I'm pretty sure Rufus has said " no more country specific events " does not signify tht ...

Eugeen 02-02-2014 11:19 AM

Edit: I ment like there has been talk about super bowl and using hats from last year so lets just hope? Sorry for the inconvenience hehe :X

Xor said he planned on not bringing back SOME country specific holidays. St. Patricks is national FYI. Super bowl? Really? Whoah, seeing iBubble know's his shiz' I wouldn't be surprised if we did get Super bowl items, after all I'm not american and enjoy it. We shall see on Monday/late sunday.

I believe the staff decided to stop most country specific holidays as they were just the same crap every year, and only gave a select few countries the opportunity to have themed items.
The plan was to instead open a themed nexus (such as the western one) once every season, and have made up festival things that relate to classic; probably a better plan, but they are yet to materialize.
