How to be a Successful Hatchaser!

This thread was meant to be posted last year, but here it is now!
I will give you upcoming hat chasers tips on how to succeed in obtaining that hat you've been fantasizing about!

-Check the guild out: you need to have some background information on the guild, a decent leader with the right attitude towards towering, friendly and active members.

-Make Friends: this tip here will aid you throughout your hat chasing career, and graal in that matter. Friends are what really makes spending long hours at forts so enjoyable.

-Don't Create Enemies: No matter what happens, how idiotic the person might be, it is the most foolish thing you can do while towering. That person might stab you in the back and diminish your chances of receiving the hat.

-Be a suck up to leads: this one isn't really my favorite tip of all, but it does come in handy as being warm to leads will give you the edge in obtaining the hat.

-BE ACTIVE: Life beyond graal is just a fantasy, no life, skip school for all it takes for obtaining that fabled hat. Graal is what will help you succeed, school won't.

-BE SUPER ACTIVE WHEN NEARING 1k: I have noticed quite a few times that leads begin to notice you when the guild is nearing its climax. You have to play Graal 24/7 when the guild hits 900+

If all else fails in your quest for a luxurious hat, you have only 1 thing left to do:

BRIBE: This may only work depending on the nature of the lead(s)

I hope you all learned something while reading my guide, may it helps you for years to come!

Please don't refrain from adding your own tips!

You can seriously just skip to the last step and bribe them like most people.

Sounded so weird...

Bribe them something seductive and they'll surely let you have 1k.

If a cluster of organized pixels (hat) is worth that much to a person then they should probably go to internet rehab and find a girlfriend to keep them busy.

I've been towering a lot recently and I've yet to fully understand this term or why people treat it as if it is a problem or bad thing. If people want to tower, get to the reward threshold, and then stop, why is that a problem? They should continue for 4000 more hours for the same reward? That just seems illogical.

If you want to actually make the term something insulting and sensible, call the people who tag along at the very ends of guilds hat chasers, or call the people who join these guilds and just AFK a lot and spam guild chat so that they get attention for their "activity" hat chasers.

Anyway, I'm sure the term just comes out of spite, immaturity, and jealousy. If people want to tower with their friends and get a reward out of it, I don't see why they should be harassed over it.

Towering has rewards? Where the hell have I been?! :O

At what point do you get a reward? Does allying give rewards to both guilds or the one with more hours? I just run in by myself and kill people... 1 vs. ALL! So fun.

There seems to be a steady stream of endless guilds with a goal of just 1k and they usually are just a reincarnation of some other 1k guild. It is much so, turning into a Zombie Outbreak scenario.

Options on how to survive a 1k zombie guild apocalypse!
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...alert_icon.png

1: First, in this zombie outbreak, your going to want to meet up with some close allies so you can form a survival team.

http://thefilmstage.com/wp-content/u.../08/theDay.jpg

You need to make sure to pick people who will carry their weight and that they are "pro" enough, so they can handle themselves in a spar. Whatever you do, you need to make sure there are no noobs. Noobs will infect your group into turning into a 1k guild.

2: In this zombie scenario, you need to find another large survivor group, and join their cause to go past 1k and shine ! They should provide you with the necessities like basic needs to live, like water, new shields, guild parties, and food. As long as you are helpful to the guild, they will offer protection from getting infected and you guys are likely to have a good defensive position.

Wait... Takaii was probably the worst example ever.

3: This scenario, you lone wolf it, You gonna' solo it ! Make sure you gather the necessary supplies. While there is still time, gather up plenty of:

- Hours. This will intimidate noobs, and make you win any dispute over who is more of a pro.
- Good spar rating. This will allow you to have an excuse as to why you play graal, if you are not into talking. The spar community will convince you that holding towers is overrated, and they will protect you behind the doors of the massive anti-noob refuge.....

This is your survival handicap INFO post. All steps of how to protect yourself from the outbreak are going to be relayed in for your protection from here,
Stay strong my dear citizens,
