Hot Yoga

Anyone ever do Hot Yoga before? Like when the class is in a 100 degree room and you sweat buckets? I did it about a week ago and it was a very interesting experience. I am an in-shape state swimmer and everything and it still made my entire body really sore and I even had to take a few breaks during the class. Just thought I would ask about anyones experiences or opinions.

It literally felt like I was sweating all the negative vibes out of my body.

100 Degree? So 38 Celsius? That's summer temperature here I can feel normal until 45 Celsius (102 Fahrenheit) . By the way next time please give us the temperature in Celsius as well. (F-32)5/9=C

I'm a bit intimidated by this simply because my uncle was doing this and had a heat stroke in the middle of the class. He passed away right there on the spot. So in other words, no thank you.

The thread title is horribly misleading.

Really? I am going to look into that, it seems very, healthy... but I can see some dangers. I would be sure to always have water and lots of it before and during regardless.

Sorry to hear that though.

Compare humidity though.

No. Just no.

Some of yalls immaturity is showing. Yoga is an ancient art, it releases tons of stress, its really mind calming, and yet you bash it before you try it.

I dont know if it will be a continued thing for me, but I recommend if you are healthy you try it. It's a good workout too, actually, its a great workout, and I feel easier to commit to finishing then say, going to the gym.

Sariss 02-09-2014 01:00 AM

Sorry I don't like heat or humidity, gawd.

I take group kick boxing on Sundays. My mom is into yoga though. She asked me to take a class with her once and I looked inside and I was like lolno. The people in that class don't shower at all it's disgusting.
