I, personally, wouldn't go so far as to give it a 10/10 like you would, but I did think the first season was rather good (just not as good as Baccano!)
I absolutely love the name 'Durarara!!' Fun to say, and the strange use of 2 exclamation points, instead of the usual 1 or 3, is quite fascinating. The ending of the first season wasn't very satisfying, like it was just straight copying from the light novels instead of giving it a proper ending (thus leaving too many loose ends). As a result, a second season is very much appreciated (you know, so that the first seasons ending is more satisfying, letting the unfulfilling conclusion be delayed 'till the end of the second season). Baccano! is really quite special for a light novel adaptation in that I was actually satisfied with its ending. |
