Apparently we can now check out what Kingdoms iPhone will look like according to this post from Facebook. Looking forward to trying this later.

below is a screenshot with a possible terrain issue? it is drawing the tiles out of proportion -- similar to having a -Z on a gmap. see the level name and coordinates in the same screenshot.

i did not go over the whole map, but overall it looks nice.

some issues in the water -- but nothing notable as that system is probably still in the works (getting close to the cliffs causes you to go from swimming to walking).

lighting effects (won't really display on FB anyway,) do not seem to be positioned properly in the torch class. they are drawing slightly below where they should for me, not sure if anyone else saw it.

The map you are currently on is just a test overworl so players can walk around.
Tig and Alarid are going to finish the last things for making kingdoms iphone a full playable mobile server.

The rest depends on unixmad and Stefan :)

Torankusu 05-23-2014 04:19 PM

gotcha. just throwing some things out there that I noticed in my run through.

overall, I like the bushes and most of the path tiles for cities and all that.. the mix between the older cliff faces are much better than what pc kingdoms currently uses, but that's just my opinion.

Wait wait wait, you mean Tig is still with Graal? He didn't give a giant middle finger to Stefan and quit?

Also I just tried it and it seems promising, though I have a few questions.

Will there be a flourishing and stable economy? Or will it be like all of the other servers that will allow you to just buy money like a total pleb?

Will there be jobs that give decent money at a fair rate, or will it just be odd things that give a few copper here and a silver here?

Will there be trading available? Such as being able to drag and drop onto a player to sell an item at your price and trade tables too? Or will you only keep what you get?

What's going to happen to GK on PC? Will it stay up as 2 separate servers, will they merge, or will PC just be removed entirely? If it is removed, will it be available like how Delteria is (Such as available on PC Client), except (hopefully) optimised for PC too?

If at least the first three questions are answered with a good economy, good trading system and the inability to buy money, then I think it'd have tons of potential.

Neat.

I hope you guys completely redid the leveling from old kingdoms, because that is one of the worst grinds I have ever seen in a game. I also hope you guys steer away from event items being the most powerful ones and focus more on crafting like you have been. Other than that, good luck to you. I think Graal could really use a well made mobile RPG style server.

Yes, we have more then 3000 items which you can trade and sell with players. Trade tables and trading between players (drag drop etc) also available. Same mechanics as on GK PC

We will start with few jobs like mining, farming and fishing. But there will be more of course which are reserved for our updates.

Look at question #1

GK PC and Kingdoms iPhone are 2 totally different servers. We are waiting for Stefans OK to release for Facebook (the PC Version). Our side of development and adjusting is already done.

If at least the first three questions are answered with a good economy, good trading system and the inability to buy money, then I think it'd have tons of potential.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thanks for your feedback.

Thank you for answering, although I feel like you didn't quite entirely answer my first question

You answered most, but will money be something earned, or will it be ruined with the ability to purchase money? Although I guess with how it is, it'll be Nihil coins instead?

And lastly, since it'll be on Facebook, will it also be open to the client in the future like Delteria, or will it remain on Facebook only?

Thanks in advance

I dont know what you mean with Facebook. Kingdoms iPhone is for the mobile platform. GK PC is for Facebook.

You can earn money with jobs, of course you can purchase them aswell, but there will be noone forced too. Depends if the player wants to work for the money or take the easy way and purchase it.
We are not sure yet what the currency will be called.

I just meant that it'd be on Facebook and the mobile platform, but would also allow login similar to staff-login for the iServers, except for non-staff.

As for the money, why not let them purchase something different? Instead of currency, why not something similar that's a premium coin or something? Instead of it being used as money it's used for crafting special things that require the coins?

I am not sure if Stefan/unixmad are planning on something like that.

Maybe :)
