It's in alpha testing atm. It isn't out. You actually need to pay $150 for a founder's pack to get into the alpha.

I played the Alpha test for a bit. However, since there's only 1 alpha server, literally all of the land available has been claimed. Supposedly there's over 3x the intended maximum amount of players on the alpha server. So I have no hope of building a house in alpha, so I stopped playing.

Like anyone would pay that much for a currently watered down mmorpg that will be Free to Play when it officially releases.

You get $75 of game coins, items, 3 months paid, and 4 day head start. That alone is the cost right there almost. Hate it when people say "$150 to play alpha? Please..." type of crap, because it's actually not the case. You're really only paying about $7 to get into alpha.

Closed beta is still planned for this month as well.

And on the land, you just have to watch for open plots coming up. My guild has got plenty in the last week for their farms, and it will more than likely be this way on release too. Just because they have 3x the amount in alpha doesn't mean they don't plan that on release servers. Scapes (works for Trion) actually said Alpha is a good representation of what they figure a regular, released server size will be as well, it's just not everyone will be p2p.

Love the watered down expression too. Everyone has their own opinion, however, bet you haven't even played it to get that opinion, based off what you said. Did someone else tell you what to think about it? lol. As for me, the PvP is fun, the skill system is fun, the naval battles are fun, and we're almost at a spot to siege castles and build our own too, and I'm sure that will be fun. Oh yeah, and pirating other ships is a blast!

I made a guide to mounts in Archeage. It's actually a lot cooler than in most MMOs, you actually raise them from a calf to a full grown mount that you can actually ride. Mounts have unique spells such as combat abiltiies, stealth, and speed boosts. They're all unique and very cool.

game is launching on patch 1.2 sadly, so we likely wont see it until the end of the year.

Yeah, but it's worth the wait for 1.2. Also, sucky that nations and the other lands won't be implemented until KR fixes the nation issues (which could be a while) cause my guild Knights Templar is nearly ready to claim an area already.

Never meant it wouldn't be free2play(they announced it well before, it was common knowledge), but saying its watered down was just trolling. It's still probably the most unique MMO launch of 2014. It has its share of problems like any game, but its still really fun.
