Trade Tables and Dropping
 

Ok, Trade Tables were added into Era for a reason. Scamming. Cool. But what I don't understand is why they have to remove dropping. I mean if you want to trade and not get scammed go to Trade Tables. But if you want to drop something for a friend you have to spend money. I don't understand this system and I like dropping.

Don't complain about this not going on Era-Go, I'm putting it there too.

The problem with dropping in the past is that even your friends can duplicate his/her items when you give them or either they have some. A promotion to duplicators is not supported by admins, therefore dropping of items was removed.

Because trade tables would be irrelevant if they brought dropping back.

The reason dropping was taken out was because there was a duplication bug that couldn't be fixed, so they had to just take out dropping all together.

Because staff would probably still receive hundreds of scam accusations.

So instead of putting in the effort to fix this duplication bug they take away one of the best (and one of my favourite) features of Era?

It makes me feel a little better that they didn't take it away because of whiny stupid noobs that got scammed. I mean, if this is in fact true.

Find a way to fix this bug or find a better compromise. Not being able to drop stuff just.. sucks. It really sucks.

Add dropping back

Ok, then why is dropping not back in the game?

Does this mean its removal was the result of whiny noobs who got scammed? Because if that's the case, I can't say I feel much like getting back into Era. It's when the whining, complaining, stupid-as-holy-hell noobs get fun things removed, that I lose interest.

This is my #1 pet peeve in MMOs.

That is a good point, but a good percent of scamming did happen before the trade tables were in place.

Take a long time to figure it out huh?
