Looking For Good Anime

Hey guys, I'm looking for a good anime (Preferably Not Mainstream/English Dubbed) to watch, but I'm open to anything!

Hamatora sure as hell isn't mainstreamed and it's pretty good!

Also try Baccano.

Hunter x Hunter
if you are looking for a mature action series in a sense like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Hunter x Hunter is your go to anime. It's lack of popularity is amazing for such an amazing series, but that's probably because the first two episodes make the series look extremely childish. However getting into the third episode and beyond, that's where the story really picks up. The fighting style for this anime is that of strategy over complete overwhelming power. However due to that, this anime focuses on the story over the long battles that drag out for episodes like other series are known for. If you are in it for constant fighting, you shouldn't really watch this series. The first few arcs are good for a Shonen series and it is not until around episode 37 that this series will become really dark and evolve out of it's childish Shonen genre, into that of something Seinen worthy.

Here's a small portion on a review on MAL:

"You understand nothing of humanity's infinite potential for evolution" - Netero

When I started watching this show last year it was because my friend forced me to. Being your typical teenager I wasn't actually looking forward to watching an anime who's main character is some little kid with green short shorts on to match his green jacket. Actually I was plain out avoiding it calling it such immature things as "gay" and "stupid" when I hadn't even seen the first episode. Honestly after the first two episodes my opinion on this anime hadn't changed at all. My mind was thinking things like "How could my friend hype me up over this typical boring shonen ****". This is why I don't think you should be able to make a review for this anime if you haven't seen at least the first twenty episodes. The first few episodes can be very misleading when you look to the later episodes of this series; they give off a vibe that is very happy go lucky and light. But as a person who has seen really dark anime like Monster and read really dark manga like Battle Royale, I can confirm that this anime counteracts the initially blinding light with an equally blinding darkness. I may seem like a fanboy now but just a year ago I was like you and starting this anime was one of the most difficult decisions in my life, I was really bored and out of things to watch. That may be an exaggeration but it was one of my most difficult decisions when it came to starting an anime.

Why do I think you should give Hunter x Hunter a try? It's one of the only anime's I feel truly strive for perfection and reaches it, and I would like you to join in on this wonderful experience.

I've recommended this anime to some friends and they've all really enjoyed it, those who didn't enjoy it, didn't bothered to watch much, if any, of it.

Had a good soundtrack.

Story was really well done until the final few episodes, couple of decent holes there, but nothing too impacting.
