Looking Forward - iEra

Hello everyone.

I'm aware that not everyone here is overjoyed with Era.
I want to make a comprehensive list of reasonable complaints about the server so we can analyse them and work on resolving any issues players have with the server.

When I say 'reasonable complaints' I mean well thought out & rational sentences that describe a problem you have with Graal Era. If you've been fired from Era or you just don't like modern servers here isn't the place to talk about it.

So please, tell me what you think the problems are with Graal Era :)

Imo iEra was never a casual enough experience for an iPhone game. Not enough pick up and play. I'm not saying the hardcore side of iEra isn't fun, but killing aimlessly and being outdone by bigger, badder, wildly more expensive guns isn't enough for me. There needs to be more casual things like PKing.

We're working on some more casual elements. This year we released the Arcade which is quite casual, I'll add 'casual elements' to my list. Thanks!

any chance that the game would have more pve content like party instances?

Well, I meant pick up and play more than I did casual. For the sake of INEXPENSIVE, non pay to win pick up and play gameplay, I suggest some sort of alternative to PK thats fair, fun and ensures the people you fight want to fight back. Perhaps a PK arena styled area where guns are earned and are balanced for more equality? I dunno. But still, like I said, there should be a pick up and play way to play thats fair, fun and balanced.

That's a tricky thing to pull off because Era is primarily a PvP server. We were working on an instanced quest line but it kept getting delayed for other projects and we ended up scrapping it. It's something that we could possibly re-visit next year. I'll that to my list. I personally would like to see more PvE/instanced content on Era :)

Ooh, lets refine that. PvE. How's about a gmap filled with zombies, or criminals, or angry hobos... Or SOMETHING you can just pick off when you're bored, and then there could be daily quests related to it.

We've been using a system like that recently, for a Christmas quest. I call it 'community quests', where players have to kill enemies that spawn on the GMAP and work towards a set score (every kill adds towards an overall goal). I'll add 'more variation/new GMAP mobs' to my list :)

Okay, I'll suggest one last thing for now.

Combat vehicles would be amazing. Like a tank, or a humvee with a machine gun on top.

Edit; and aircraft vehicles. That'd be nice too.

That may be possible in an instanced area, it would definitely cause problems on the GMAP. We toyed with the idea once before but decided against it.

It would be interesting to see a new GMAP area introduced just for vehicular combat.

Oh god don't say that. As much as I want that, it's too unlikely to happen and in the end my hopes will be up for absolutely nothing. But, on a more optimistic note, that would surely be amazing and I would definitely like such a thing.

Every suggestion I add to the list will be fleshed out and presented in a formal PDF document to snk and Storm Myste. So while I can't say with any certainty that things on the list will be created, they will at minimum be discussed.

Quests that link together and provide a story would be amazing, ik iEra is mainly pvp and not many quests are found here but it'd be really enjoyable for players who enjoy this such as myself.

Tasks that give ec, similar to achievements however more difficult, these could include things like getting an 100 streak, picking 500 trash in a day, and just in general activities like this what would prompt the player to play iEra for more than the usual pking or chatting.

New events, yeah the new race came out (if you can call a mash up new) but im talking about events that have never been done in graal before, UN is a prime example of making wonderful events that players are drawn to. Given time im sure many new events could be thought of.

Player made houses, similar to Era it would be amazing if a player could make a level and then get it uploaded and placed in stead of there current house, this would give players practice and would be a ton of fun.

Okay, I was afraid of this getting shot down ONCE AGAIN but here goes nothing

Do something to make melees useful when combating those with firearms. We have so many melees that are only useful for taking bases and sweg...

The playerhouse idea would be too difficult for us to moderate.
