Server Concept

Here comes an old concept of mine again, refined a little

In the 1800's, a lot of scores were settled with a duel to the death. Many of the fresh western state governments were okay with this. Of course, there was some regulation on the practice. This server takes place in an alternate reality, in a modern world, where regulation of duels turned for the worse. At first, western states removed the whole concept of paces from duels and allowed the duelists to take up whatever tactical position they saw fit. They still were one-on-one and fought with pistols. But that soon changed as well. Soon, duels were fought with great numbers of combatants. Almost immediately, laws passed allowing the traditional pistol to be swapped out for anything that was a firearm. Obviously, this meant that once a gentlemanly permanent solution to conflict degenerated to dangerous shootouts. Eventually, this became a popular spectator sport. Nowadays, people kill in big, glitzy arenas for money, sport and fame. The biggest and most popular arena, located in Hollywood, CA, is where this server takes place.

Participate in an arena-based, pulse pounding shooter in modes like:

Open PK!
----------
Fight in a usual deathmatch scenario, without a time limit, for fun and fame!

Team PK Contest
------------
Get the most kills for your clan to earn money and fame!

Spar
------
The Graal Classic!

Gladiator
----------
Melee only bloodbath!

Guns include 50 cal revolver, G18, Famas, M14, AK47 and much more

Melees are a bit different. You can block all damage, but must stand still while doing so. Properly timing your blocks allows to apply parry damage to your foe. You are also faster. And... Melee attacks are often bloodier and more brutal.

Players have 10 health and 5 armor under most circumstances. Every time you take a hit with armor, only half of the damage is applied and you lose 1 armor point. Armor is replenished only upon death, but health is restored at a rate of 1 point per 2 seconds.

The goal for a player is to get rich and famous, gather up a heap of sponsors, and eventually live in a fancy mansion with all sorts of fun goodies. Money is almost exclusively spent to further this goal.

Fame can be spent on favors. This means reservations at awesome clubs, free stuff, and most importantly, sponsors.
