Event Warpers!
 

I saw a an event warper early today and was justhttp://www.graalians.com/forums/atta...4&d=1421376132 happy to see it back on classic after such a long absence. I don't know if they have started using warpers again recently or if this was the first but still pretty physced!

They never stopped using them, they use them when the player count is under 2,000, which is when I am usually on.

Event Warps? Hmm, is it one of those portal thing that has a number of fraction or whatever on top of it? One side is the limit to how many players can enter, and the other is the number of players currently inside the event lobby?

For the random queue system, does it let you in if you have that hat already or no?

I still feel like denying someone the opportunity to enjoy an event just because they have a prize is kinda lame, except maybe in Chance

Well the issue is a lot of people were getting into events and winning and already had the hats... and it was leaving staff a bit stumped on what to do.

If people were participating and not winning it'd be fine, but it's when they win that it kind of causes trouble.

I don't know what solution there would be other than just hosting without prizes.

That's not a problem though, right? If people see the hat and enter the event regardless, they shouldn't expect to get the hat, or at least I never did - unless Classic has some quota of event hats they want to give out per month or something.

Well it's up to the discretion of the staff who's hosting whether they want to omit hat owners. It tells how many players are omitted when an event is hosted from the various criteria, hat owners are typically around the ~2 range. I'll paste an excerpt next time someone hosts, if I remember.
