Third Faction?
 

The empty space in between Cowboy and Indian in the faction select UI gives me an odd feeling that a third faction might be planned and has been since before launch... Is my suspicion not justified by that oddity? I know a straight-up "Oh yeah were going to add a Cultist faction by mid spring" or something like that, but if the answer ISN'T no, can we have some hints? Teases? Please?

There is an army faction already in-game but it is unavailable and has no content at all yet. As far as I know no plans have been made on this either.

Army is the name of the faction it's coded but has no use

So no one ever said who the "Army" belongs to?

And maybe the reason they haven't barely touched it yet is because the playercount is too low to work with more than the two current factions.

This is the faction icon but that's pretty much all there is to it and yeah it is probably due to the playercount but I'm pretty sure it's just not a priority right now either.
We might see the army faction develop later on who knows?

There won't be an army faction. It was created and talked about in the beginning but was disabled because it felt out of place, which is the reason why we won't be using it. If we do implement a new faction, it won't be "Army", and it won't be until we have a higher player count. Again, that's only if we implement a new one. (There are no plans to)

What?! Out of place? Learn your 'Murican history, Alpho! Yeah, if it were the US army, maybe. But guess who wanted the western frontier as much as the natives and the US government? Mexico. It could be the Mexican Army!

It would be pretty out of place to be fair. Cowboys and Indians just traditionaly go together, army, no.

I bet alpho:) When the new map and some new shops comes! ow will be getting high amount of players! it is going in the right direction i can tell!

The army would be mexican. It wouldn't fit if were just "army". It wouldn't fit if it were just mexican either. Mexican Army would fit and be historically accurate.

Could have like an aztec/mayan faction. that'd be cool.
Could also have that basketball type game they had back in the day as an event.
Mayan temples and stuff would be sweet. Mayan city expansion? Adventures through the south american jungles!

Well, it'd be best to decide soon whether or not another faction will be implemented. Because if it was to be worked on now, there would be more time to do so and it won't seem half-arsed.

I'll try to work on it as my own project. I'm serious. But I have to know if a third faction will be implemented at any point at all, and we need to work out what it'd be. Alpho, mind if we do a little back n forth in pms so we can work this out? I have a few rough ideas of creative new factions.

We already said a third faction wont be implemented because there's no reason to. If the playercount rises in the future then it will be given some thought. :)
