OP Event Spear
 

Hi all, I write to express my concerns with the current EC Item spear's outrageous and over powered speed. This spear can kill a person in less than 3 seconds even if they are healing, this is appalling and unfair. Not only this, though, the range is also outrageous. When basing it is so unfair that they can simply rush the flag and have the base in under 5 seconds (not even lying).
What I propose:
- A nerf in speed dramatically, this weapon is 9 damage and hella fast. Why not make it 10 damage but slower?

This proposition is fair for both sides, because really 45 EC is simply under priced for such an OP weapon that players who do not participate in events are not able to achieve.
I am asking for a review on this weapon as it is quite frankly, too fast. A melee should never be able to outmatch a gun (whilst reloading if hit with the spear you die) and also basing is unfair with this weapon.

I suggest that you, the admins, try to base with the weapon on the other team, I'm sure you will understand what im getting at.

Guns are supposed to out match melees at a range, while melees are supposed to be more effective from closer ranges.

Ah, but you also have to consider the guns that we currently have nowadays. Even the best weapons from both the Cowboy and Indian district can't kill a person quickly enough, it's not like the BAR from Era type of weapon. And a 9 damage melee which is slightly faster compared to guns at close range is much more deadly. Not to mention the combination of an experienced player who knows how to dodge and swoop in for the kill... o_o

Even if the guns are not as strong as the ones from iEra, they are still stronger then melees from a distance I guarantee, just stay at a distance and fire instead of being in their face and you will win the match if they strictly use a melee I guarantee.

Two questions for you:
1) Do you play Ol West?
If not, you just cannot grasp what I am talking about. This weapon can take advantage of the high reload times on the game (it takes a while to reload any weapons). This weapon can kill you in 5 seconds if you are reloading. This is extremely unfair, no melee should be like this. It also has a very long range.
2) Do you base?
This melee can get a base down from 50 to 0 in a dramatically short amount of time. This is unfair and basing is a lot harder when someone has this weapon.

I do, and trust me if you know what you're doing you can work around it.

With all due respect good sir I have never seen you in a base. My main focus is basing and always has been. I'm not saying I know more than you, but every baser like me who I have spoken to about the staff agree with me.

Then get that item for yourself and stop complaining.

I know you can insult me by not basing but I really don't base, it's not my style.

But if you want that spear to be in a lower dmg then I don't think they would change it because they all earn this item by doing events or stuff. You should be more like them.

It doesn't matter how hard you work for something, it shouldn't be that OP. 1 person can beat 2 people trying to heal a vault. This weapon can also kill you WHILST YOU'RE HEALING. How is this fair?

Once again though, you simple do not understand because you dont base, which is okay, but you cannot talk about something you have not experienced. I also think it's funny how you clearly didn't read my ideas of how to balance the item, at all. I want the DAMAGE INCREASED with the SPEED DECREASED. I hope the capital letters clears things up for you.

Also, pat from abernathy got one for free because he made the level of the events shop, how is this earning it as you say? How come these 10-15 people who have it (probably even less) get a massive advantage over the rest?

OL west has done an outstanding job at balancing weapons up to this point. This weapon needs a nerf, and soon.

Well you cant jus simly be some event shoe hog...... %90 percent of graal has no horseshoes what so ever because all those greed people steal every single one.... its not that easy to win 45 horseshoes

It's good how it's been released.

And I don't base here dosen't mean I didn't base in Era, just get a whole lot of people, some fight the other people and some get the flag and then you will win. IF your skillful enough. And don't forget you need to wave arrows which is easy if you know how to wave and i don't think you do.

And yes Pat from Abernalty will get it for free because he EARNS it by making the level of event shop, it's not fair if you don't earn anything from making things for free, no one will work for nothing.
