Wow, I didn't know GT 740's could run SLI.

I understand you're buying this, but are these all separate parts or is it a pre-built PC?

Fysez 03-04-2015 06:59 PM

Alienware FTW

They can't.

This build is terrible except for the CPU + Mobo + RAM which is quite solid.

1. 740s should be replaced with a Radeon R9 280 or GTX 960.
2. CPU Cooler should be dropped and just go with the stock Intel cooler.
3. Monitor is really small, should be able to bump it up to a 23-24" 1080p monitor without that big of jump in price at all.
4. Would replace the 450W PSU with a 500-550W PSU that's at least 80+ Bronze.
5. UPS shouldn't be factored into the build price, good to have one though.

Hmm.. I feel as if you'd get better performance for all-around-use with an fx-6300 rather than an i3-4130. They're also very close to the same price. The 6300 includes more physical cores and even with Intel's hyperthreading, it can't catch the performance of the 6300. It's also a better overclocker from what I've heard.

If you're willing to get the fx-6300, then here are some good motherboard choices:

Mid-ATX: MSI ATX 970(incredible for overclocking)

Asus M5A97 R2.0 ATX

Micro ATX: ASUS M5A78L-M LX PLUS

Which is Better? They Only have Limited of these :I
XFX R9 280X Black 1080MHz 3GB 384bit GDDR5 Graphic Card [Double Dissipation Cooler]
Sapphire VAPOR-X R9-280X 3GB GDDR5 OC 384-bit Graphic Card
Gigabyte R9 280 3GB GDDR5 384-bit Graphic Card
Zotac GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256bit Graphic Card - (my opinion this is a bit better than them all.)
Palit GTX 970 4GB GDDR5 256-bit Graphic Card - (Same as the Zotac one I think)
Gigabyte GTX 770 256-bit 2GB GDDR5 OC Graphic Card - Meh the price.
EVGA GTX 760 GDDR5 2GB 256bit Graphic Card SC+ACX Cooler - (The worst of them all)

I removed the Monitor and made a huge difference, since Im also getting a BIG Flatscreen tv soon, Il stick with the one I currently have.

Get whatever the cheapest 970 is out of all that, if you want to save money the 280X is the step down from it I would go.

I heard People were selling their 970s at low prices...something to do with Nvidia advertising wrong specs about their GFX before the release.U should keep your ears up for deals like this.

Get the 970.I would prefer the Zotac one,but they are the same things with minor clock speed differences.

I believe this was due to the VRAM issue giving only 3.5 GB instead of 4 GB.
