Hello everyone, I am Dellik from Absence here to bring you a quick tip on killing baddies faster. Many people are going to be farming pyrats and bandits since they drop treasure maps. Faster baddy killing means more maps. Up until now, players have used their sword, bombs, and arrows to kill baddies. Each of these deals 0.5 damage each, so it takes six hits to kill each baddy. However now we have a new tool, the upgraded lantern, which deals 1.0 damage meaning you should be able to kill baddies twice as fast. The two problems are that the lantern has very low range and you have to recharge it after five uses. The best way to farm baddies as fast as possible is as follows:

1. Hit the baddy with your sword twice. (The first strike is to draw aggro so that it is easier to hit with the lantern, and the second strike is to get the baddy onto an even number of health so that the lantern finishes it off without wasting an extra charge) The baddy is now on 2.0

2. Equip your lantern and fire it once. You will want to use the lantern right after the baddy stops blinking in order to hit it. Take a step back as soon as you fire the lantern to avoid taking a hit from the baddy. The baddy is now on 1.0

3. Fire the lantern again, run to collect the drops, then press glove to put the lantern away so it can recharge.

4. Repeat

The bandit and pyrat caves will probably become packed soon, so try and claim your own spot to kill one or two baddies over and over. If you are farming two baddies people will try and steal one of them, if that happens just give it up and stick to one until they leave. Best of luck to you all, and happy farming!
