Letters and Invitations!
 

Hi everyone!

So this is an idea I thought of when I received the typical, copy-paste PM from someone telling me that they're hosting an event or party at their house. IMO these PMs aren't sincere and they just look bad.

So to combat these mass copy-pasted PMs, there could be a postage office somewhere on the map where you can send a nice looking letter or invitation that costs 25-50g to a player or guild to a present event at your house/guild house or pretty much anywhere you'd like. It asks you whether you accept the invitation or not and it gives you the option to enter the house/guild house or pinpoints the location on the map.

This could also work for future events where you can set the date of the event and it notifies you on the day of the event.

This could work for player-hosted events, player-hosted spar tournaments, PK groups (telling you where to PK), guild events, etc.

They could also have their own unique sound notification when you receive one.

What do y'all think? Post whether you like the idea or not, and what you think can make it better! :D

Thanks! There could also be a mailman NPC that challenges you to a RPS match and when you beat him you get his hat and his job. His job would be a daily quest which involves you delivering letters to certain NPCs around the map for a reward of 500-700g. I didn't come up with the job idea, I read it off an old thread.

Nice idea, but definitely won't be a priority since we already have a PM system.

It sounds kinda cool, not sure how I feel about 25-50g/player though

This would be a lot more fun if you had to physically check your mailbox for letters. You should also be able to save letters long-term. Also, limited edition post cards!

Ahh yes. That's where I found the mail delivery idea from.

This idea + suggestions should be looked into. They would be good additions to classic and they would make it much more unique.
